Got plusnet for 12 months, 1 Mb, £14.99/month, 1Gb cap, automatically upped if exceeded, suits me , only used about .7Gb per last two months. Not for every one though. So horses for courses or something ;D Lots of interesting permutations about, a very competitive market. Good for us consumers. The moving finger, having writ, moved on.0

Freedom 2 Surf pay you £10 to migrate. Only 1 month minimum contract. £14.99 for 1MBit with 1GB cap. Can boost by an additional 1Gb for £2.99.

Righto - as promised am reporting back:
Have just migrated today with no problem at all. Customer service from https://www.adsl4less.com no problem but now received my activated e-mail and it turns out that the service is actually offered by Hot Chilli Internet but at £5 less a month!
Anyway, I'm a happy bunny. If anything goes wrong/right I'll nip back here are warn/inform people but so far the experience has been pleasant and has resulted in more money remaining firmly in my wallet.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I am still waiting for the shiftover to complete from virgin to adsl4less. Virgin says the migration has already taken place on October 22 but adsl4less says it is supposed to happen on November 22 which is the date that i asked for when i signed up. The connection is still live. Seems to be a problem at virgin site. i am afraid will cause me downtime near the time when the switchover is supposed to take place.
Will keep u posted0 -
Good to hear some good news about adsl4less. Well, the contract is only for one month if migrating, so it should be worth a try joining them I guess. I will be joining next month. Thanks.Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.0 -
My migration finally occurred. The shiftover has not been totally smooth. First the password for the access they sent me was wrong or something and required a call to them during which period the system was down.
Today the router keeps disconnecting from the ADSL. Everytime I have to go into router admin and connect again.
This is not looking very good for now. Lets see how they respond.0 -
been with NTL for some years and got hacked off with all new customers getting good offers ,so i called them up and after sitting on the line for tweenty mins finally got through, and told them i wasnt happy with the product at the price they were charging and asked how i go about getting disconected !
funny how all of a sudden i got offered 1.5 mb boardband at five pounds cheaper than what i`m paying for 750 k and a slight discount on my phone bill .

I am also planning to migrate from virign to adsl4less.
does everything sorted out after initial migration problems ??
how do you rate their service compared to virgin or metronet?
please advice...0 -
if you are in the london area, try metronet. I am with them and they have a PAYG deal: £10+VAT per month gets you 200MB then it's 0.25p per MB above that. I use about 1GB per month and don't pay more than £15! Plus if you use less then you may only pay the min. Not had any problems with them and service is quite fast0
