Check http://www.adsl4less.com/. They are giving unrestricted, uncapped 512kbps broadband for £14.99 with installation fee of £69 or if already broadband enabled, a migration fee of £15. Any problems there?
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

  • :o Wow that's cheap.

Best I had found previously was either free migration and £20/m (Datacomms) or £10 migration with first 2m @£9.99 and then £16.99/m (v21.co.uk)

Any catches that anyone can see?

  • G'Day. Only new to this sight -started yesterday.

    Anyway I have found broadband for £10 a month 512k -I think!
    It is at https://www.fast4.net.
Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. The following is a quote from their website.

Choose your own unlimited bandwidth package with Fast 4 Broadband. We won't restrict your monthly download limits by only offering you bandwidth throttled packages. With all our packages you can enjoy simple internet all month long. Unlike our competitors all of our packages allow unlimited bandwidth, we don't confuse our users with complicated terms and restrictions. With all of our packages we provide you with email addresses and webspace (see package benefits for details). Fast 4 Broadband, Unlimited Internet Access

Please let me know if their is a catch. Do we require our own broadband modem.

  • Hi Fletcher,

I followed your link and they have a footnote saying:

** Broadband £9.99 pm for the first 2 months. £16.99 pm after. Offer available until 31/10/2004.

Not bad for unlimitted bandwidth broadband though. I think some lesser known broadband resellers might offer this slightly cheaper, but you never know how long they will be in business for. My mother has used fast4 for dialup for some time. You will probably find mention of Fast4 on this board. I have no idea how "good" their broadband service is, but it appears to be good value for money.

    Best regards,

    Johnnie

I noticed that they have two 'versions' of their 512k service. Did you get a choice of which version i.e. 'no contract' or '12 month contract' you can go for if you migrate? :)

When you go via migration it only gives you one month contract option which is what you want to do...so lower fees and no contract makes this a great option (plus no exit fees which stopped me from going to v21)
