Well, I was in Malta (Sliema) last April and the weather was lovely. Bit too hot for the treck up the hills of Valetta in fact!
I believe they've changed the buses now, which is a shame, the ramshackle old buses were quite an experience...but I'd still say make use of them. The island tours give you a good flavour of where you want to be and you can hop on and off, which is useful.
Malta's a small island, so not difficult to get around. Just remember, if you're hiring a car, that the British drive on the left, the French on the right and the Maltese in the shade!Normal people worry me.0
