Hmmm I am sick to death of them actually. We all opened accounts here but cos we use the same computer they emailed us to say they were unsubscribing us - we'd ordered hair products, contact lenses and all sorts as well to build up our points so we were really cross. So I emailed them to tell them we were all seperate people despite living in the same house & impoverishedly sharing the same computer - shock horror only one computer per household!!! So got an email back saying the old accounts couldn't be reopened & the points we'd earned couldn't be recredited but we could open a new account if we liked with a different email address. Everyone else had given up on them here but I soldiered on & set up a new email address as suggested, opened a new account & built up my points again. When I had enough for a voucher I emailed them to say I didn't have a mobile number (as I'd used mine to validate the last account) how could I go about validating it & got this reply:

"We implemented this procedure to prevent members from spending PiggyPoints if they have duplicate accounts. Unfortunately we have many insincere members who greedily open up a few accounts with Pigsback which can be very costly for us. PiggyPoints are the second highest expense, with wages being the first, and with 200,000 +active members, we have to do everything we can to prevent these people from scamming our system.

Mobile validation is one of the very few ways which we have of preventing this.

If you do not have a mobile phone, it is dealt with on a case by case basis.

On checking your account you have had access to other Pigsback.com accounts from the same computer (some of which have the same account or log in details), and some of which have been mobile validated.

Therefore your account will not be marked as mobile validated.

So I emailed her again explaining the situation:

"Hi Rachel

I spoke to you about this and you told me to open an account in another email address as you couldn't reopen the other accounts.

I have bought contact lenses & hair products from your links and was going to order more stuff but thought I'd better get the account validated before I did so.

You yourself specifically told me to open another account - are you now reneging on this as I have the email from you saved in my receipts folder?

Please respond by return and I will post your reply on MSE which has a long thread about this site."

I have had no reply so far - do you think I am banned? Can they ban members from the site? I am really cross about being messed around by them & am going to email the lenses people & the hair people complaining that I haven't had the points for buying stuff from them. Am going back to Line my Pocket to buy stuff from now onwards I think.

I do not agree that this is "free money." The fact is that i am spending quite a lot of time looking at their advertising links etc etc. I am happy to do this on the basis of the promise they made about receiving these vouchers - I have kept my side of the bargain, they haven't. I could have chosen another similar company but I liked the idea and layout of the Pigsback site.

Pigsback are a commercial company, and they are (presumably) recieving payments from the advertisers.

These guys are not sending out vouchers. These guys are not responding to emeils.

At the end of the day, I agree that it's not really THAT important (!) in the scheme of things, but these guys have annoyed many, many people and have not kept their promises. My personal view is that they will sink very very quickly....

Yep. I would like to know whether or not I'm going to receive the vouchers to which I'm entitled, and which I have not obtained fraudulently. I don't mind when they arrive (so long as it's before Christmas) but I would like to know IF they are going to arrive.

Well, y-e-s ... I could make an argument about costs of PCs, electricity, time, etc., but I could be pushing my luck! On the other hand, if I'm not going to get these vouchers, I'd rather know now, so that I don't waste any more of my time on their site.

For how long? If I keep someone waiting for reasons either within or outside my control, I hope that I'm always courteous enough to let them know the reason for it. How long will they keep stringing us along?

I posted last night about this. Both me and hubby have the same surname and both our 1st names begin with A.
Weve both got accounts and have had them suspended. We have both earnt vouchers and both had codes sent to our different mobile number.
I have emailed this Racheal lady back in a hope to get our accounts up and running again.
As I said in my other post. One of the ways there telling is that they trace the computer that your using. It was mentioned much earlier on in this long thread. I wen through it for about an hour last night. Does anyone know roughly what post number it was. It gave a link to check if they can tell by your computer and id like to try it.
I guess all I can do is keep my fingers crossed

Not a bad idea! Although RPoints is very reliable too, & GreasyPalm pay out with no problem - so long as you monitor your cashbacks as they accrue - I often have to 'submit tickets' for mine from GreasyPalm - but it is not my computer because RPoints never misses any.

Just do the competitions on Pigsback if you don't trust them to pay out so that you are not out of pocket. Shame for them though because they are missing out on so much extra revenue that they could be making from all of us if we felt it was safe to shop via their site!!

Between us, my partner and I are waiting for £50 of Love2Shop vouchers now (£30 for me, £20 for him). I still think pigsback will send them and really are just having supply problems. I don't think they are having cashflow problems, as they are already very successful in Ireland. I was told that they were only allowed to order a certain number of vouchers from Love2Shop per week and that they were in negotiations to be allowed to order more.

I hope it is not just one account per address.

As I encouraged my husband to join and I have already had a couple of love to shop vouchers.

We both use different computers but via a router and cable modem and have different e-mail addresses and mobile phone numbers and even different surnames.

What about houses that are student lets etc. I can see them all sharing them are part of pigsback.

I know it is something for free but I look forward to my vouchers means I buy extras for myself as money is tight.

Well, I sent another email to them and got a reply today ... pretty speedy gonazalez like for pigsback hey:rotfl:

Anyway, points for original voucher order have been refunded ... cos it is just taking to darn diddly dandy long :rolleyes: one voucher is still on order though!! Got the lack or supply email - an order never turned up
