I can - it was the middle of April, 2007. Funny how it's people like us, who are least able to afford it, who see the whole question as a moral dilemna, yet we don't need to resort to the vernacular to get our views accross. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I can remember the last time I was in a pub, but I can't remember the last time I had any ALCOHOL in a pub. I'm always the designated driver so it's always a fruit juice and soda for me. It's a hard life being tee total.0

Hi
Ethically I would always choose free range but practically some weeks I just can't afford to! (and no im not one of these who are down the pub drinking and smoking) I have a £2.50 bird in my freezer as we speak which will be used! however. I try and buy from my local butcher when I can, always look out for yellow stickered if its organic or free range and If I have enough pennies I will opt for a free range bird everytime.
What id love to see now would be a program with HFW taking Hayleys food budget for the week and showing her and us to make ethically sourced meals for the week within budget. I think he would have to be creative but having watched some programmes of his where he has got wild ingredients etc.. I think he probably could do it and I think it would give us all a few more ideas!

He did do a series where he taught people how to make homemade versions of ready meals for less (and tasting way better than the processed stuff): it was really interesting but can't remember what it was called....MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000
MFi3 v5 #53 £12531/

I have gone out of my way NOT to watch this program, i know it will really upset me......
Three years ago I worked at a bird Sanctuary (for 10 years) I used to look after thousands of birds each year. We used to have ex battery hens (they probabaly still do)
I dont think people appreciate how intelligent chickens are, the ones at the sanctuary if it was particularly cold would wait outside the front door to the main building for me to open up and they would follow me into the building. I would put on the gas fire in the food prep room and they all would lie on the floor around the fire to get warm
When we move and have a bigger garden i want my own chickens, my OH is very aware of this since the day he met me
I am not veggie as i am not strong willed enough but i dont agree with the way animals are bred for food and the conditions they are kept inMarch 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
Egg Credit Card - £843.64 5.7%0
