I think they are offering deals as the open skies agreement has come in to effect and they are not an airline that was in the old "agreement" of 2 us and 2 uk carriers allowed to fly scheduled flights from the UK to US. All prices should come down with a bit more competition.

    Not so.

Delta have always opertaed scheduled flights from the UK to the US. The 2 + 2 you are thinking about is on the LHR routes where only 2 UK and 2 US operators were allowed. Otherwise there has been many UK and US airlines operating across the Atlantic for many years.

    Vanillachoco - LHR $412+tax LGW $420

The ones I booked yesterday to New Orleans have gone up today to $816 + tax from $387 BUT there are still a couple @ $387

We've stayed at the New Yorker 3 times now - great location opposite Times Square Gardens, 34th St, so a couple of blocks from Macy's and The Empire State.

Sometimes the deal is better on Expedia or Opodo than direct with the hotel - god knows why! But at least you can use Quidco too!

Plus for a real money saver you can get the tube from JFK to the hotel - without any changes - it's literally the stop outside the front of the hotel on the blue line!
  • The prices have seemed to have gone up and are more expensive than AA.
