The only suggestion I ever got from livehelp was that I should stop using the ask the seller question function completely and start requesting user details (to get email addresses) for every user I wanted to ask a question. As mutiple requests for user details was not being monitored by the new security software.
  • Ebay Live Help have stated they will stop my account locking.

Seeing is believing, however at least they understodd what was happening and stated that they would try and stop it

Let us know how you get on because they were unable to do this last time I tried and wouldnt mind getting back to one account for questions myself.

Sellers will be able to reply to you direct.
If you have several questions to the same seller, they wont be clocking up against you.

Well this has happened to me once, prompted by a single hijack a month ago and a number of messages since then, eBay decided my account had been hijacked again, suspended, and issued an email to all my buyers and sellers informing them I was not to be trusted. I then confirmed with eBay that the account had not been hijacked or even accessed by anyone other than myself in the last month (since the original hijack).

See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=819541 for the full story.

I very much hope it's just the one time, as I really need to message all my buyers and a load of sellers as no one seems to know the difference between 1.1 through 1.6 (it's RGBs or no RGBs, people!) *ahem*.... anyway, good luck to all the rest of you. Here's a tip - ask them to check IP access to the account (though only if you have a static one). Should be enough to confirm to them instantly that you're telling the truth.
