T Mobile complaint
I just want to have a rant about T-Mobile and warn others not to make my mistake. I ordered a phone in November, on line, for my daughter for Christmas (Sony Erik k850I) on Flext 35. It wasn't used until Christmas day and wasn't working by Friday afternoon. I called T-Mobile on the Sunday and reported it. They wont replace the phone, only repair it as this is a "known fault" with this phone and because I've had it more that 28 days.
I'm pretty annoyed about that but I can't see any way around it other than to give T-Mobile the bad publicity they deserve! So much for shopping early!

Sounds reasonable to me. What's wrong with a repaired phone? Especially as they seem to know exactly what the problem is and maybe that it is easily fixed.
Expect it to come back as good as new. If it doesn't, then complain until they get it right.0 -
T-Mobile can only do so much with a faulty phone, if it's a known problem that affects lots of handsets then it may not be possible for them to replace it as they probably don't have enough in stock.
I saw this sort of thing more than once when I worked for them, take the repair is my advice as if a new handset (without the problem) comes into stock while they have yours it might find it's way into the box & get sent to you.
I used to do that from time to time if the customer kept on my good side & didn't rant & rave at me over the phone, ranters either got nothing or b-grade replacements that had almost as many problems as the original phone.Winnings

Call into one of the shops with the phone and sometimes if they have a new one in the store they just might let you have it. I have done this and they were great in the shop just replaced it with one from their stock. Jacqui0

Thanks for all that; I'll stop ranting and get on with sorting the repair out (done!)0
