What was the band? And what was the type of mug (if there is such a thing as different types) - if we can find the specific product you ordered that will help

Its listed as "REM Album Cover Mug - Classic Rock House" for £6.50. It definitely looks like a real mug to me.

Looked at the website and it lists different mugs and you need to choose the size. 11oz is £14.50, 15oz is £16 and a design file is £6.50. It sounds more like user error to me as if you only paid £6.50, you’ve not bought an actual mug.

They're not. Their address under "Contact Us" is for

    Harvard Business Services, Inc.
    16192 Coastal Highway
    Lewes, Delaware 19958
    USA

which is just a place offering to form US companies for a fee.

Outside that the site screams "China." The page looks slightly dated and sloppy, the fonts used are often used by Chinese sellers and absolutely everything is on sale, a pretty big red flag for Chinese sites.

There's also this offer which again, uses the typical styling for voucher codes you'll see on Chinese sites

The last nail in the coffin is that they're selling tons of copyrighted/trademarked material that they pretty obviously have no right to sell (would Tesco really be happy with their logo being put on clothing?) and if they were based in the US, or frankly anywhere that respected intellectual property laws they'd have been sued into oblivion.

When you add to cart, if you have not already selected the item from the page, you have to tick a box for the item you want and the "Design File" is £6.50, the actual mugs are priced at £14.50 for an 11oz and £16.00 for a 15oz. It looks like they have sent what you ordered.

    Here https://printerval.com/uk/rem-album-cover-mug-classic-rock-house-gift-iconic-tribute-perfect-gift-for-rem-fans-p5178311?spid=247560858&qs_tr=%22REM+Album+Cover+Mug+-+Classic+Rock+House%22

Think I see what's happened, the product is offered as two sizes of physical mugs (11oz £14.50, 15oz £16) or a 'design file' for £6.50. Presumably the OP has ordered the latter, digital render of the design printed on the mug, rather than one of the physical options.

I'd go back to them, explain your mistake, say that you will not use the digital file and will delete it, and can you please have a physical mug if you pay the difference?

It was actually £4.50 plus fees when I bought it on 15th September and the picture showed a physical mug.. Lesson learned, thoroughly check a site before parting with money. I certainly won't be buying anything from that site again that's for sure.

The entry is confusing as when you first display the page the "Size" option is not highlighted, but clearly the default is "Design Files".

It was very confusing, I didn't even see size option or files. Well I won't be ordering anything from them again that's for sure.
