Santander

Tried to install on ipad but as part of the verification setup proceedure Santander requires some verification code to be sent to the device on which the app is installed and that can only be a phone. I tried ignoring it and the setup failed. Maybe after doing all this with the app on the phone you can then delete the app on the phone and only use the app on the tablet….. no idea I stopped bothering and will continue to just use the webportal instead

Hanley Economic BS android App ... allows installation (thereby very loosely passing your initial criteria) , but upon Opening responds with 'Device not supported - only phone devices are supported'

Biometric login never worked on Tesco Bank on a tablet, but apparently would on a phone.

I use an Amazon Fire tablet. I've not tried loading any apps on it but I suspect it wouldn't work.....anyone tried it ?

I have the Santander app on my Samsung tablet ( only) with no intial logging on issues that you identified. However, I installed it around 6 or 7 years back so set up procedure may have changed since then, or perhaps different for apple devices.

If any of the institutions you bank/save with have their apps available via the Amazon Appstore then yes they should work.

If you've sideloaded the Google Play Store and install bank apps from there then likely not but why not give it a go?

I tried to install the Santander app on my Chromebook, but got a message saying that it was not available on my device. The Nationwide app did install and worked, but with issues.

Now I remember the point at which it stops

We get to the point where they have just sent you an email and you must open the email app on this device and there is a link at the bottom to open the email app. There is no option for getting the email to another device say my PC

Well Santander I don't have emails going to the tablet so we can't go any further can we……
