  • You have done the right thing hun. You may still be asked for a visit, but can you refuse this if you want and just send in all the paperwork they request and meet up at their local offices.

    This may seem like a really stupid question but why don't the tax office visit people if they think that they're claiming as a single person when they shouldn't be? there are tax offices all over the country. That way they'll be able to tell if someone else is living there?
