Well he was living with his dad for the first 6 months, does he have proof of keep or rent paid to his Dad? My OH gives his stepmum £X a week for keep, and pays this via standing order from his bank to hers, so there is a paper trail. He also has bank accounts, his driving license, car insurance and mobile contract registered at hers and his Dads address.
yes we both work, have 2 children i do 20 hrs he does 35 hrs, i claim child care costs and working tax credits - no housing council tax or anything else. how did you pay the rent and CT for the first 6 months your OH wasn't with you?
I have always called the IR up and told them about changes in work child costs etc......its just the partner thing which i havent. TBH when i first told them i wanted to claim as a single parent it took 2 months of through investagation - bank statements etc b4 they paid me, i was left 2 months without a penny from them. Thats what put me off telling them about partner moving back in 6 months ago, because i really struggled for money for 2 months.
..............Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
they have just called me wanting statements wage slips etc from april 07 and utility bills. They also want partners proof of address - utility bills rent book etc.... but he never paid utilty bills to his dad just a wekly house keeping fee.
My partner says i should just tell them that he moved in in november
really worried. What shall i do??
I know its all my fault

Are you sure the difference was £8 - £12??
I'm living alone with 2 children and I get £30 towards childcare each week.
When I was living with my OH and were claiming as a couple, we weren't entitled to childcare costs, so that in itself was £30 less in TC a week.
(Just to make it clear for anyone who is wondering, me & OH split up in May 2006, got back together early 07, but are still living apart, and Yes, we both have proof that we live apart!
)
yes because i wasnt working and he was only doing part time

They even have proof of loans hes applied for in the last 12 months.
Will i be in big big trouble if i call back and confess he moved in in november? very worried:(0 -
I am sure you have up to 3 months to report any changes0
-
Do you think i should call them up now to confess that he moved in in november and i panicked on the phone? and i thought i had 3 months to tell them and the reason i didnt was because we were going to give it the 3 months trail before we declared living together?
i want to confess but same time i dont want to e prosecuted or anything worse:( also what will happen with child care costs when am in work etc..... as i dont think i would be able to afford them nor same time be able to afford not to work:( 0 -
Just ring them up and tell them he moved in with you November. If they say anything say you believed you had up to 3 months to report it and you were too busy to do it any sooner.0

will they still want all the proof though for the previous year or will they just calculate the claim see what i owe and open a new claim as a joint couple?
tanks for all your help, its appreciated0 -
They will want his income from nov so it might be best to work out your wages plus his from nov till april and let them know the revised esitimate of this years income. In april you will have to give them the proper amount from your p600

I used to claim as a single part time working mum of 2. and got help with childcare i think about 70%. also tc cant remember how much but a lot more than now.
now I live with my partner, i dont get any help with childcare and only get £20 week TC.
I think its awful to think i would be better off alone or not even working to be entitled to much more! government have got it all wrong. they make it easy to stay at home and do nothingThank youLiz x0
