Never known a car auto wipe codes. Usually they are marked as historic one read.
Bit of show on both pedals would induce hard to stop, or is auto using both feet.

Isn't it right that very modern cars have some sort of accelerator override fitted to the brake pedal, i.e. a device that automatically closes the throttle if the brakes are applied? I've never driven anything new enough, so don't have personal experience, but sure I've heard it mentioned.

All we've got to go on is a vague description of the incident and a description of the RAC's diagnosis which, in writing (although we don't have the wording), wasn't deemed serious enough to justify rejection. We don't even know the make and model of car, so have no idea if this is an EV, whether it's an automatic, what driver aids it has, etc.
I don't think there's enough information for anyone to give an informed opinion.

Certainly on pervious Niro 2021 & new BYD you can press both pedals & the fight is there between them.

The reason the codes are erased is usually because there is sometimes a plethora of codes, not all relevant, so all are erased, and then monitored to see which new ones appear. Of course in this case they're are none yet.

When I had a warning that my stop/ start was not working my garage found 9 fault codes.
They erased them as they fixed the stop/ start problem.
None of these codes have appeared again and no further problems with the car.

" So it's just the OP relating what the RAC person told them which, with the garage unable to repeat the fault, isn't going to hold much weight."
It would normally hold more weight than a garage saying that they cannot find a fault. Many faults are very difficult to find. (eg the F1 race at Sepang)

Yet was fixed in less than a couple of minutes 🤷♀️🤣

But had not been discovered in over a year. Nothing unusual about being able to fix a fault once you know what it is.
