Birds fed. Recycling out. WULTD. Filled the birdbath and the hedgehog's dish.
Not only did I read the paperwork re: claiming a small pension pot, I bit the bullet and claimed it. That's a job well done.
I returned the two plastic containers to NN's daughter as she passed on her way home from school so that's a bit more room on the kitchen worktop.
And my phone pinged with my Clinical Oncology appointment. 13th October at Hull. I'm assuming they'll update me regarding the RAI treatment. Maybe even give me a date for it. And breathe....
I've put the bin out ready to be emptied tomorrow. Popped my birthday flowers in it - they've lasted very well, but it was time to say goodbye. The Flylady Flower Fairy's flowers are still blooming 😍
It's a glorious day again.

I'm officially in minimal maintenance mode this week because we are having our bathroom re-fitted next week and I predict mess, dust, dirt and debris in abundance. The kitchen is clean and tidy and so are the bedrooms but hall, stairs, landing etc are staying in their current condition until it's all over. I'm really looking forward to a pristine new bathroom to maintain.

Evening all. One washload done and dried well today even though we had a tiny bit of drizzle earlier this morning. Dusted and vacuumed through downstairs. Went to DD1's and collected her dog and brought him home until Saturday. We stopped on the way back for a walk by the river (shorter than usual because the dog hasn't been well and can't walk as far as he used to) then had a coffee.
Picked up DGD4 from school this afternoon and brought her back here for tea. She and the dog were thrilled to see each other and there was some "singing" :)
Hope everyone's OK x

evening all
bin out and dumped car part (internal, plastic) from the grass across the road binned. I'm fairly certain I know who left the pile of scrap metal out it was part of but the scrapmen won't take plastic. Not impressed.
WM and DW locked and loaded. Watched Lucy Letby Scapegoat. Thought provoking.
Thinking of getting rid of kitchen as am hardly using it 😄.

Evening all. We've just watched WDYTYA with Will Young, one of the best episodes of the many that I've seen. It was funny, though, that he visited Cosford RAF Museum, Goodrich Castle and Tewkesbury Abbey - we live within the triangle joining those places and have visited all of them quite recently. Didn't come across a film crew anywhere, though!
For some reason I'm not as tired today as I have been most days recently, so I have flown like a good Flylady:
- loaded the DW and S&S'd the kitchen, putting all the lids back on the clean jam jars
- did a 5 minute PUPA in the LR,
- hoovered the hard flooring downstairs and everything upstairs
- mopped the kitchen floor
- brought in our empty bins from where the binmen had left them in the middle of our cul-de-sac
- made progress with two major pieces of admin and looked at a couple of others
- did WMx1, gave the load a short TD and hung everything in the bathroom to dry properly
- did the last food shop of the month and put everything away
- when DS1 rang me on his way home from work, I remembered to mention that we need a new outside light to replace the dead one by the front door: he say he'll try to come in half-term week to fit it.
It's DGD1's 16th birthday tomorrow. It's a good thing she's not having her family party until Sunday, as I'm still waiting for her fun present to be delivered. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Her serious present is already here, though still awaiting its wrapping paper.
A dental check-up is in the diary for myself and DH tomorrow. That will declutter a few £££.
Jazee, I am very pleased to hear that you, your DH and Poppet have been able to get away together for a few days and are having a good holiday x
Sleep well, everyone xxx

Good morning everyone xx
It's another glorious autumn morning. My cotoneaster is hung with berries - a lovely splash of autumnal colour against the green leaves.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed the nyt puzzles (only managed 2 lines on Connections), eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
My tasks for today are
- Check bank statements
- File receipts
- Shredding
- Clean handbasin
Didn't sleep well last night so I'm aiming for small, easy wins.
Love to all

I am here. I start the week with good intentions which then life gets in the way.
I have been doing jobs around the house, in no particular order and did a good job in the kitchen. Ive also done a meal plan and shopping list but need to do a freezer move around and update the inventory.
The bathroom has only had a wipe round and the toilet done.
Today as I still can't get into the spare room properly I'll do the front room.
It seems that my dad is coming home from the care home on Monday. I'm still not happy about it as my parents can't look after each other. Only good thing for me is that I shouldn't have to keep going round to feed the birds.
Mum's mobility is getting worse but she refuses to see the doctor again and would rather sit there and moan about it and how she can't do anything. See why she won't be able to look after my dad? I've given up trying any more.
It looks like I've k!lled or badly injured my washing machine.
I convinced my mum to let me wash and dry her feather pillow for her. I read the instructions online and followed them to the letter but as you can guess it all went wrong.
It exploded. A seem went and I ended up with half the stuffing in the machine, the other half still in the casing.
I spent alot of this morning scooping out mushed up feathers with my dustpan, breaking the handle in the process. I then had the idea of putting it on to rinse thinking it would help get the smaller bits together. I was wrong. I tried putting it on to drain but it won't. I've ended up just turning it off for now.
I've messaged my mum to update her and she said I need to call someone out and she's willing to pay. I do feel back as it was my fault. If I pay it'll have to go on the credit card which I think is the reason she offered.
Going to finish my coffee and start some more jobs
