OP has never stated the MODEL NUMBER of their Sony TV… So we have no accurate idea of its spec and connectivity.

(Incidentally Sony were one of the makers who fitted H.264 HD codecs in their high definition DVB-T sets for Europe, France specifically; at around the time the UK mandated DVB-T2 for HD broadcasting).

    OP quoted ChatGPT

Your Sony KDL-V26A12U is an early-generation Freeview television.

Can only imagine that the OP must have fed the AI the model number, or do they just make this up as well?

I tend to not read any AI generated, error prone, stuff that people insert in threads. (though I think reading back it may have trawled this specific MSE thread in its response??)

Searching Google for a specific model often throws up info for very different TVs… with number/letter differences… (been caught out a few times by that).

Anyways the pictures of the set show it has a "hdmi" logo on the front… is a 26 inch screen with

Connectivity: HDMI, SCART (x2), Component Video, Composite, and VGA/PC input

So one (occupied by Fire TV) hdmi input and "HD Ready" screen. AI says

    Video Signals Supported: 720p, 576p, 480p, 576i, 480i

spot the AI mistake (hint HDReady needs 1080i support to use the logo which is on the TV).

No exact specs available from a quick search for codecs support. Nor dimensions: but a modern bezel-less TV of 32 inch would probably be not much wider; but the sound would be a lot worse!
