used car brake issues. where do i stand?

did not return on day of pick up as already closed. reported along with other faults when they were open. dealer been dragging this out for months, dealt with 3 people there now, latest one because i put a complaint into the motor group the dealer belongs to.

thats interesting as the VW uses the brakes every time in D mode, its only B mode that uses mostly regen.

That's unlikely.
It'll still regen brake primarily, and rely on friction for heavier braking - but not as much so as in B.
Any EV that didn't regen brake would just be wasting range. D is for those who prefer not to "one pedal" drive.0 -
Indeed, the range figures are also based on the default option, which is why many default to one pedal now (or like Tesla make it mandatory), otherwise they have to publish the reduced range figures of a clumsy two foot driving process.
The breaking on the ID vehicles is quite clumsy because they use a three component blended system, motor, discs on the front and drums on the back, but it still primarily uses the motor for breaking as you say.
