Being signed out when moving between bookmarks

A couple of times now I have moved between bookmarked threads on my phone (not on the app) and I have been shown as signed out.

If I “go back” using my browser back arrow < I am showing as signed in again and then selecting the bookmark again I stay signed in.

Not sure if this is a known issue. I am also still getting the page numbers and “back to top” at the top of the page so that doesn’t seem to be fixed

What make and model of device are you using and which web browser app (and version)?

I didn’t realise you were rolling out a new layout and it’s still randomly signing me out.

Still being randomly signed out. This morning I couldn’t get on Old Style Moneysaving Board without it making me signed out. I tried joining from a bookmarked post and joining from site navigation- categories. Each time I used the back button on my browser and was immediately shown as signed in and carried on as normal. I left it and looked at threads in other categories for a while then I was able to get back on OS board and remain signed in.

@MSE_James I’m sure it’s linked to the changes on site on Friday and along with the awful changes on the bookmark page already commented on by others it is making it very difficult and frustrating and tedious to use the forum

I did some testing on Friday (before the software change) and couldn't replicate what you are experiencing, and nor have we had similar reports from others which suggests it's not a widespread issue, but we will be on the alert for any other reports that could be related.

Hi @Skint_yet_Again - you've mentioned in another thread this remains a problem.

My next suggestion would be to try clearing your cookies for this site in Safari.

Look in the iOS Settings app then go to Apps / Safari / Advanced / Website Data - search for moneysavingexpert to filter the list and swipe sideways to clear the data.

Thanks @MSE_James I followed your instructions and swiped to delete the data. It then signed me out. I signed back in and will let you know if it happens again
