Or there are several 2022 model SE on eBay, described as refurbished or even new boxed

Apple replaced the SE with the e last year. Whilst the 17e is now 12 months old its anticipated that tomorrows announcencemtns will only include the Pro and Ultra phones with the Air, standard and e models to be anounced in spring instead. Its not just a name change though, the e is closer to its standard model than the old SE models were.
As always the price of old models will go down when the new models are announced so if you can hold out until spring you may be able to get more for the same price or pay less for one of the models suggested above0 -
I second this. You can also look into last year's 16E. Its the same size as the 17E, with most of the same features. And it will be cheaper.
