Suggest me an iPhone

Starting point, I am not interested in any views as to what a ridiculous waste of money iPhones are and how I can get an android much cheaper. Those post will not be responded to.

So I have an iPhone SE which I brought new in 2020. I’ve had the battery replaced once. It’s now starting to do the odd blip particularly with charging which makes me think it maybe heading towards the great iPhone graveyard in the sky at some point soon.

Wondering what to replace it with? I’m not in the market for one of their ridiculously expensive ones. I’ve been perfectly happy with the SE because I don’t need the fancy cameras/other bells and whistles and I prefer a smaller model.

Not sure though how close they are to obsolescence as a model and if so, what’s the next best comparatively priced alternative that would also keep going for as long as possible?

Apple don't make small phones any more, much to the annoyance of many.

The third generation of iPhone SE will be supported until 2029. A refurbished one will cost less than £250.

iPhones are a ridiculous waste of money and you can get an android much cheaper.

That said, another SE is probably the best option here - they've got a couple more years of support, they're cheap and they're about the smallest iphone left.

If you don't want an Android phone then buying an iPhone makes sense.

The iPhone 17e is brand new at £599 and is the smallest of the new phones at 6.1 inch screen. It is bang upto date and will be supported for a long time.

I mentioned Android because this is the Money Saving Expert forum, where apparently no question is complete until someone recommends the thing the OP specifically said they don't want.

It's basically the forum equivalent of asking for a vegetarian recipe and being told, “Have you considered steak?”
