Reluctant to move from Freesat
Am I alone in not wanting to change /buy a Freely TV?

I have both. I have freesat in the lounge and freely in the bedroom. Freely is not bad at all, I've never had problems with it since I had it. At some point freesat won't exist so you'll have no choice but that's way into the future. To get TV's into other rooms freely is perfect

I didn't know that was mandatory (until the moment the satellite falls out of the sky, and even then there's alternatives).
We're going to lose Sky Q eventually, but since no one wants to invest the billions to keep it going, what will be, will be.

No used an arial for around 5 years now. I have fast internet and its a better solution. Freely is a good addition for free channels. The sky or the cheapest alternative that gives you movies/sport as you like. Its nice not having a rusting dish attached to the house.

I have a Manhattan aero freely box still relatively new and has a few bugs but it's ok for getting the freely experience over the internet while keeping a non freely TV

I have all 3 methods of TV, Freeview, Freesat and Freely.
Samsung and LG do not put Freely into their TVs, so I have to use Manhattan Aero boxes.
The Freely system has faults in it and the Aero also has a few bugs in it.
I think most people do not expect Freeview and Freesat to go before 2035, so a lot of new ideas yet to come I guess from LG and Samsung.

If you are thinking of getting Freely, note that you cannot record programmes.

I use the Catch Up Apps such as iPlayer etc. Maybe that replacing recording.

Freely is massively worse environmentally than broadcast TV (freesat or freeview) - all the network and server capacity needed

What nonsense, it’s uses a broadcast over the internet (in the same way that iPlayer live TV does) rather than individual streams

I've seen a few adverts for Freely, but what is it?
Not everyone has sooper dooper broadband and I'm more than happy with my Freesat system
