today I will be making bramble jelly. I do eat jam but I make so much that I give it away or sell it to friends and family in which case the proceeds go to a good cause.
But first I am off out for breakfast with my lovely friends.
3 x WM to peg out before I leave the house

Hello all. Hope you're all ok.
I'm inspired by the jam making until I remember that I've already bought lots that a friend makes to raise money for a cancer charity. I will however be scrumping more eating apples from the village green on my dog walk later. They are delicious.
Today I've done some paid stuff, all of today's applicable tasks from the list, dailies and I've cleaned the windows in the LR and DR.

Our internet is down and apparently that means we need a new hub. Tedious.
I’ve cleared out more stuff.
Ionafan, I’m not coping well today at all, mainly because I can’t go online on the laptop and let the Tube of You distract me. Beloved feels the same, but he gets distracted by his work. Mostly we just get on with things but today that just isn’t working for us. I’ve also noticed I’m eating ridiculous amounts of food.Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.7 -
A rather lazy start to the day.
- meal prepped in the slow cooker and sitting in fridge ready to plug in first thing.
- more greengages gathered
- ditto 'flying saucer' squashes and aubergines. And basil.
- clothes packed.
- vague bit of tidying done so we don't leave the place in a mess tomorrow. Plan is to do a lake swim, have lunch at home then set off for DB/SIL.
- Mr N put one load through wm and hung it out.
- various bits of admin.
No that's it, I can't pinpoint much else. Slinks away.

Actually I did do more - pruned and shredded prunings from a large shrub.
And did some drumming practice- learning More than a feeling by Boston for those wanting an earworm!

Morning all,
Yesterday passed in a vinegary haze. Plums pickled and sauced, jarred and labelled. Basil picked and frozen, still plenty left to mess with. I’m not sure that a lot else was achieved in the day. DH has gone out today for the day to give a friend a hand shifting stuff. Wm is on, I need to WUDUPA. I am sure that there is more that I need to do if I put my mind to it. The LR springs to mind. Oh, and getting dressed might be the way to go.
HB, be kind to yourself. I hope today goes better for you xI’m putting the kettle back on if anyone fancies a cup of tea?

Good morning all
yesterday I made bramble jelly and it has set beautifully … looking forward to eating it on a croissant when I get up. I boiled the remaining plums so I will jam them later when I have sugar.
Out tonight with my laboratory colleagues. We will gloss over the fact that I stood outside last night for 15 miutes then calledEgg wondering if she had forgotten to pick me up.

Afternoon all. Today I have stripped and remade both beds, first load washed and dried and second load on the line now and almost dry. We had a walk by the river this morning then a coffee and I got some flowers for the living room. I did some dead heading in the garden and sorted out some pots. The grape hyacinths are halfway up already.
Through the week I did all the cleaning but I can't remember what I did when!
Hope everyone's OK. HB hope you and your DH are a bit more settled today, it must be so difficult. X

Thank you. Part of the problem yesterday was that we'd said yes to a golden wedding celebration that was virtually on our doorstep, after which the location changed to a place several miles away; I knew I'd have to stay off a relaxing glass or two of wine because of the delicate nature of some relationships and driving once the venue had changed, and Belovéd didn't know anyone. I was also very overtired. In other words, we both realised we didn't actually want to go, but I like and respect the fabulous and magnificent wife so much we couldn't back out and I was right to go - I got a massive hug on arrival and a future coffee date is planned, with cake. In the end, of course, we both had a lovely time and I was grateful I didn't wake up with a hangover, unlike someone else. : whistles nonchalantly : We had a dance or three, which we haven't for years because of Belovéd's dodgy ankle, I had a couple of good conversations with lovely people and was talked at for a couple of hours by someone who does that with me, but the music was so loud I hardly heard a word she said; very fortunately she has an extremely expressive face so I knew when to say 'Wow!' and 'Oh poor you,' etc etc, so I did my duty with her.
Today I have run two loads through the WM and pegged them out so we have an empty laundry basket, Belovéd has tidied up the yard a bit (it's a triffid-filled jungle), I picked a pile of tomatoes, and chucked out some more things I thought I should keep because they'd be useful, but like a lot things in the house I've never used them so I've let them go. I also realised there's an easy fix is with a small collection of random bulbs and a lot of harvested nasturtium seeds, some homemade compost and a bed in the communal garden that has a largish bald patch.
Mostly, today is about having a really good rest, t'internet is back on and the new router has arrived already (a job for tomorrow), supper is leftover Eggplant Parmesan I made earlier in the week so just needs a bit of reheating, I've planned a localish 85 mile hike over the course of a few days that will set me up for Hadrian's Wall in May, and realised I don't eat nearly enough protein so I've been gently researching how to boost my protein intake with a few delish treats here and there instead of my usual bar of chocolate when peckish. Ideally I'd like to lose 10kgs so I need to make some adjustments to my day to day food habits.

All washing ironed
cooked plums jammed, more blackberry and apple cooked and dropped into jelly bag for overnight dripping. I have jam/jelly ready to take to Waste Not Cafe tomorrow and have carefully listed who wants what so I make sure people get jam. Mouldy strawberries taken back to emmandess and swapped.
