nice to see you MMM - having a bit of a reset was a good idea as you have such a lot going on.
I hope you've been enjoying the rest of your birthday round.
Not a huge amount of flying today because we went out with chums this afternoon. Hoovered all round, towels washed, dried and put away. Our bedroom is tidy and dusted and all clothes are where they should be.
Just made a batch of Twinks hobnobs as IDH's chum is coming for coffee tomorrow morning. He is likely to hang around for lunch but we have bread, cheese, tomatoes etc so I can rustle up a ploughman's if necessary.

@Fayolle -I love the idea of sloth like flyladies! 😂 to be honest, prior to the cats I had everything working like a well oiled machine - now I just feel that I'm trudging through an endless swamp of chaos! 🤦♀️
Happy belated birthday @roundtuit! 🎂
@honey_bear - thanks for the welcome - it's good to be back! 😁
I'm not following lists very well! 🤦♀️ Yesterday I achieved:
Bathroom; disposed of old bath toys, cleaned the cupboard under the sink, sorted the plants and polished the pots, cleaned windowsill and window, descaled shower screen and taps, cleaned bath, sink & toilet, cleaned door handle, vacuumed and scrubbed floor, replaced towels and bathmat.
Main bedroom; cleaned windowsill, side tables, tissue boxes and sky box shelves, wiped radiator cover, light switches and plug sockets, cleaned door handle, vacuumed.
Landing, stairs and hallway; vacuumed, door handles cleaned, windowsill cleaned, bannister & newels bleached, spindles and newel caps polished, hallway table cleaned, radiator cover wiped, floor vacuumed and mopped
Yoga room : vacuumed
Front room: vacuumed, tables polished
Utility room: surfaces wiped, cupboard with jars, containers etc emptied, cleaned, reorganised and tubs without lids etc disposed of.
Kitchen: surface clutter rehomed to rightful places, worktops and cupboard doors cleaned, floor vacuumed and mopped.
I was absolutely shattered by the time I was finished but at least waking up this morning I knew that I hadn't got to face anything other than the cat fur! I've got my grandbaby today so won't be getting much done other than clearing up once he's destroyed the house! 🙄😂😂😂

Afternoon all. I was aiming for Morning but dragged my feet again.
LATTL - feel free to join the sloth members. I hope I’m not speaking out of turn when I say that the select club includes myself, Round and Narc0. For some reason this week, Natty seems to be having a good look around my house and picking rooms in the order I might have done them. So this morning I have cleaned the bathroom and might even tackle HHI this afternoon. Yesterday didn’t quite go to plan, but the bedroom got a quick clean, plus the new potatoes were finally dug from the allotment, and the last of the plums also brought back. We have enough potatoes for maybe 3 meals! As opposed to the plums - I found the large bag of sugar that I thought I had used and turned out half a dozen jars of plum jam plus a pan of stewed cinnamon plums.
First thing I Made An Effort and went to small town with DH, mainly to go to the market for f&v. Now I remember why we NEVER go shopping together 😩.

Good afternoon all xx
Thank you for my birthday wishes. Today I am exhausted. Peopled out. Running on fumes. You get the picture 😴 Not helped by a very poor night's sleep....too hyper!
Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, fed the birds, topped up the birdbath and the hedgehog's dish, and put out the recycling.
I've also dealt with a consultant who wasn't best pleased that I didn't answer his call scheduled for 10am. That would be because no-one told me it was scheduled, I didn't know until I received a text at 10.22am!!! Anyhoo. He wants to lower my dose of levothyroxine- which I'm hoping will stop this ever present tiredness. 😴🙏
I'm meeting L for coffee and cake at the posh farm shop cafe this afternoon. I think I'll drive with the car windows open - see if I can wake myself up a tad.
Is there anything slower than a sloth? If there is I'm it at the moment. A snail Flylady?

Sloths are dazed when put on the ground and expected to do stuff. Sloths are peaceable beings. Sloths sleep a lot and hang around, relaxing. I like sloths. I identify with sloths.
Having said that, I was looking for something the other day and while I was going through the cupboard where it would be if we had one (I've forgotten what it was, so it can't be that important) and I realised there was a lot of stuff in there that's been fairly undisturbed for several years, and only disturbed when I've been looking for something. I grabbed a nearby useful bag (a gift that I like) and filled it this morning. There is now an empty shelf in the cupboard.
I was so inspired I went downstairs and removed a pair of napkins in 'interesting' matching napkin rings that have bright red binding around the edges, so they can't be washed. In other words, utterly useless for the job they exist to perform. Into a re-purposed cardboard box that also has a pair of salad servers that are too clunky to be of any use, a couple of serving dishes we just don't need and an orange dodad thingyamigig that I loathe because I loathe orange. A lot of those things were gifts from the same person returning from holiday, who always brings us something. I love her to bits, and I didn't want to offend her by letting her precious gifts go but I heard someone say yesterday that the giver has received the pleasure of giving, we have given the pleasure of receiving, and we no longer have to pretend we value something because the gift did it's job at the moment of exchange. I like that enough to let her things go and I know they'll go to someone who truly wants them via our local hospice shop.
I almost feel inspired enough to carry on decluttering, but I've calmed myself down.

I had a burst of energetic cleaning in the bathroom today and it looks sparkly and fresh.
A flylady question
I would like to reduce the number of cleaning products I buy and I wonder what the expert cleaning flyladies use?
Currently I have various bathroom cleaning and kitchen cleaning sprays and glass cleaning spray. I am always lured in by packaging and advertising promises as well as the chance of my home smelling of some of the wondrous scents of unicorn breath and shooting star dust with raindrops from the dark side of the moon.
I have polish and dusters, multi surface wipes and floor wipes. I have that blue gunk that goes round the toilet bowl and bleach. I also have those dust magnet fluffy things that I use on the slats of our Venetian blinds. My cleaning caddy is disorganised and overflowing 🙃
It would be great to hear about some of your go-to products.

Afternoon all. I cleaned the bathroom properly this morning (not just a lick and a promise) and then a bit later did the bedrooms. In between we had the Asda shop which takes ages to put away. I made stew after that and we had half for dinner today (with dumplings) and the other half has gone in the freezer for another day.
Back to the Wednesday school pickup from today so no sitting down this afternoon trying not to go to sleep ;)
Hope everyone's OK x
