The DPO responded, obviously dismissing everything and apparently couldn’t see my forwarded email from Ringgo, even though it was forwarded directly to them…

A few points from their email

“The Parking Charge has been through both the internal and external appeals processes and has been issued correctly. The vehicle was on-site for 2 hours 38 minutes and the individual only paid for 2 hours of parking. Although the motorist is claiming they paid for 3 hours parking, they made a payment of £1.35 to RingGo, which covered their vehicle on-site for 2 hours.Peel Centre Stockport is a ‘Pay on Exit’ car park and when motorists pay via RingGo they are required to select the time they wish for their parking session to start, the motorist did not do this and started their session at 15:39 (when they left site) and therefore the 3-hour tariff was not available as the tariffs end at 5pm.Regardless of whether the motorist believed they had made payment; they did not pay the correct tariff amount. There is no payment discrepancy, the motorist paid £1.35, which covered them for 2 hours parking on-site, and therefore the PCN is valid, and issued correctly.

This is not a ‘keying error’ as the registration was not incorrect, the motorist has not paid for the correct tariff to cover their duration, which is not classed as an error in which mitigating circumstances need to be considered.”

My response was to send over the email again, and tell them to include it within the complaint which I sent, and to have a nice day 👋🏼
