PROBLEMS SWITCHING TO FUSE ENERGY
Comments

I am currently signed up to Fuse Energy's 18m month fix at £153.xx per month. I was on the 2025 Tulo fix at £126.00 per month.
Sure, but your bill (as opposed to your budget payment) for the whole of August is probably half of that, or less.
Let's say your energy use for August would cost £63 on your old Tulo fix and £78 on the Fuse fix. The difference is £14, about 45p a day.
Switching ten days earlier will have cost you £4.50.
On the 1st September Tulo 15 month fix was going to be £157.65pm but it's now risen to £165.70pm. Therefore, I will be moving to Fuse when things get sorted out.
That assumes that Fuse are still offering their August 18m v5 fix when the 1st of September comes around. The fact they've already got through five tariffs in August suggests to me that this isn't a given.

I'm signed up to Fuse Energy's 18 month fix v5 at £153.xx er month. The Tulo 15 month fix v2 is now £165.70. Tulo are becoming much more expensive. One thing about Fuse, is that their standing charges are lower. That will suit me when I'm away from home, using no gas and less electricity.

@Thomas_Crown Any update and are FUSE going to honour the price of the oringal switch date?

Just a quick update. I haven't heard from Fuse or Tulo for several days. Since the mistake with the switch on 21st August and Fuse agreeing to move the start date to 1st September, everything has gone very quiet. Just after midnight tonight, I am going to give my meter readings to Fuse. I can't give them to Tulo, because there is an onscreen message saying ''No live meters found''. On the Fuse app it says that I am signed up to the ''Aug Single Rate Fixed (18m) v5'' tariff.

If I was you I'd just sit tight and stay on the switch from 21st.

That's what I've done really. It will be up to Fuse and Tulo, to decide what the meter readings were on 21st August, then they can charge me accordingly. Fuse have made a right mess of things.

Started how they mean to go on

I am afraid that you are correct with that statement. I have just received an email from Tulo Energy, informing me that they have heard nothing at all from Fuse Energy. I haven't heard anything from Fuse, since they acknowledged my meter readings on 1st September. I'll have to send them an email, instead of trying to communicate with the awful chatbot.

I would expect Fuse to give my meter readings from 1st September to Tulo. Normally, when switching energy providers, the company you are leaving, will only accept meter readings from the new company. Also, if Fuse don't communicate with Tulo, how are they going to sort out the mess that Fuse made with the switch? My start date with Fuse was supposed to be 1st September but they switched me over on 21st August.

Electricity readings are sent directly to the old supplier but gas readings are sent via a third party. Fuse have just confirmed that they sent the electricity reading to Tulo on 20th August. The gas reading is awaiting a decision from the third party.
