As I previously posted, I applied to switch via the MSE Cheap Energy Club. There is no option to select a switch date until you have signed up. Oyindamola from Fuse has now informed me that they are going ''to arrange a return through the industry Erroneous Transfer process''.

The Fuse tariff is £28 per month more expensive than the Tulo tariff,

If that's the difference in your monthly DD, that's the year-long average.

Your extra cost for ten days in August is likely to be less than £5.

Oyindamola from Fuse has now informed me that they are going ''to arrange a return through the industry Erroneous Transfer process''.

If you're lucky, prices won't rise again before the month's out.

Well if you have proof you asked for the 1st September, as already said, make a complaint. Do you really want the hassle of moving back to then switch again in a week when rates may have changed again? You are over complicating matters here. Is there any guarantee you will be put back on the same rate with your old supplier for a mere handful of days?

They are usually quite good, they even waved £50 in exit fees for me because one of their chat people told me the wrong info. You might get a tenner. Because thats as much as you have "lost" here, if that.

Also are you aware that Fuse is variable billing? Saying its "£28 more a month" is incorrect, you will be billed for your actual usage on a month by month basis.

Not sure what OP is on about with the DD pm thing but I didn't a comparison last night and to switch to Fuse would cost me an extra £170 per year if I use the same amount of energy.

So it would cost me an extra £14 pm from what I pay now .

Maybe that's what the OP is on about and and not variable DD but yearly estimate divided by 12?

I thought I posted my post at just after midnight but when I loion this morning it was still sitting there so I hit post comment so I never checked the earlier posts.

Yes Fuse were 2nd I think but I was only checking the MSE site to see what the OP was on about but it was asking for DD and details so I never went any further. I wanted to see if it gave me a date option to switch.

Fuse intially has a variable monthly direct debit but after that, there is an option to change to a fixed direct debit. From 1st September, the diffence between Tulo and Fuse is about £4 per month. I'm now thinking about staying with Tulo on a 15 month fix.

Hard to believe difference between Tulo and Fuse fixes are only about £48 per year, Fuse E SC is IRO of £29 per year cheaper, Unit rate is 1p+ kWh cheaper. Fuse Gas SC is £43+ cheaper, unit rate is cheaper as well.

Comparison with Fuse 18M V5 available direct from Fuse Website and MSE Cheap Energy Club with Tulu August v2 15 Month fix available direct from Tulu Website - £120 per fuel exit fee

There's one certain way to guarantee that something will go badly wrong and that is to deviate from the standard processes of a utility company. Watch this space.

I am currently signed up to Fuse Energy's 18m month fix at £153.xx per month. I was on the 2025 Tulo fix at £126.00 per month. On the 1st September Tulo 15 month fix was going to be £157.65pm but it's now risen to £165.70pm. Therefore, I will be moving to Fuse when things get sorted out. When using the MSE Cheap Energy Club comparison site, it gives an estimated monthly direct debit amount for all energy providers, including Fuse.
