I wasn't aware of that, but it sounds like a good choice if you want to do gaming on a laptop that is NOT supported by M$ that you don't want to part with.

Thats a weird thought pattern that vertical integration and system lock in are the same thing… so you think Apples "lock in" has only just started and it wasnt a closed system when they used Intel processors and Qualcom modems etc?
Windows is compatible with Apple Laptops, we run VMs booting Windows which run at about 95% the speed they would on bare metal. Its theoretically possible to run on bare metal but the fundamental problem is that Windows expects a page size of 4KB but Apples hardware runs on 16KB and windows being a closed system means its not configurable plus there is then the issue of no drivers having been developed. Linux on the other hand has been tweaked to run on a bare metal M series laptop as once the page size issue is addressed people will take on the challenge of developing drivers.
