Shrunken band merchandise

I purchased a tour t shirt for £50 in June and after washing it as stated on the label it has shrunk over two sizes making it unwearable.

I have contacted the official band’s merchandise store online who say they can’t deal with the issue as it was bought in person from the touring merchandise company and referred me to their contact details

I have sent three emails to them since then and they are not responding. I can’t seem to get an answer anywhere and it’s beyond frustrating.

I have tried Citizens Advice but they are constantly busy and don’t accept my call.

Any advice would be welcomed

Unfortunately you paid £50 for a £3 T-Shirt with a £2 print on it. The companies that run these stores charge an absolutely huge markup and pay the bands a high commission per garment. You bought from the merchandising company so your consumer rights are with them not with the band or Citizen's Advice. Who did you actually buy it from?

What was the T-shirt, FoTL, Sols, Gildan? How was it washed, hotter than 30c, or 30c or below?

Global Merchandising Services were the company that handled the touring merchandise, it was washed at 30c on a gentle cycle.

That's the one. I have emailed their customers services but they don't seem to answer.

Drop them an email advising them its your last attempt before you will take further action, then Try a chargeback with your bank.

Which band was it…Rage Against the Machine? 😆

Bear in mind, if you do decide on further action (legal?), a Solicitor’s letter will almost certainly cost more than £50.
