Amazon Renewed Rip-Off

I didn't mean to buy a £100 phone to tide you over for a couple of weeks.
I meant to buy a £100 phone as the permanent solution, hence save £200.
I have just ordered one of these for my wife:

Is it Amazon deleting reviews or the company?
Life in the slow lane0 -
Presumably. I don't know who else would be able to delete them. I wouldn't think the seller can.

That's not really a solution though unfortunately. It's a bit like saying why buy a pair of good quality, comfortable shoes for £75 when you can buy a cheap pair of shoes for £25. Some people, perhaps someone who doesn't wear the shoes that often, would probably be perfectly happy with the cheap shoes, others may prefer to save and buy a better quality pair of shoes.
It is comparing a flagship (albeit 3 year old but with a 1 year warranty) phone to a very low end, low spec budget phone. Yes it would save me money but the poor performance of the Motorola would frustrate the life out of me.
As I mentioned I have saved the money to buy the phone I wanted. The money was in my account a couple of weeks ago. I am just struggling to get it back from Amazon.1 -
Amazon should be criticised about this as the fact that they deleting comments about the supplier and/or adding the comment - The fulfilment issues associated with this order were not due to the seller - suggests that they know what is going on but are failing to provide their customers with any useful information. All they say is - Delivery date currently unavailable - after telling me - Your package was dispatched! - Arriving 12 August - 13 August. No clue as to why the delay, when they might know or anything else that might help one decide what to do.

I see your problem is not with Evri but
Evri chucked a parcel over our fence last week.
It fell behind something and was not found for 5 days and Mr Rodent had nibbled the packaging but not the contents fortunatly
Did they tell us what they had done?
Guess!

Was the item sent by the seller or fulfilled by Amazon, meaning Amazon dispatched it.

According to Amazon on 5th Aug the order was despatched but not yet out for delivery which would be due on 12th/13th. It is not clear what happened then - the seller has not responded to request for info but Amazon says delivery issues are not due to seller. Evri are supposed to deliver the order but they say - We're expecting your parcel to arrive with us soon and we'll update your tracking once we've received it.
Amazon aren't providing answers.
The seller isn't reponding.
Evri claim to have not received the package yet.
It is all most unhelpful and frustrating but I feel that as the original order was placed with Amazon they have responsibility for keeping customers informed and resolving any problems.

Are you the OP with a second account?2 -
No, I can assure you that this other person is not me!
It would seem literally hundreds, quite possibly a few thousand people have been caught by this unfortunately. There are well over 100 odd negative comments on the seller profile today alone, there were similar numbers yesterday and the day before but they get deleted. All have exactly the same story. Item ordered. Phantom tracking number generated. Item is never dispatched or arrives. Arrival dates come and go. Amazon just say "don't worry, you'll get your money back" (eventually)0
