Remember, you can only contest the change in the t&c for upto 30days after notification of the change in the t&c after that you are considered to have "agreed" to the changes therefore cannot get out of them.
I believe all t&c if changed to our detriment can be used to get out of the contract.0 -
I have been looking @ joining Tesco's broadband but after reading everything I notice that their telephone technical support is charged @ 50p per minute chargd to your BT phone line account.
Now that's what I call a rip off!
Plusnet is looking good @ the moment. They call me Mr Pig!0 -
Rang AOL for my MAC key, they are supposed to be emailing it to me but it hasnt arrived yet. What has arrived is an email telling me they have upgraded my download speed to 1Mbps for no extra cost. How nice of them. Meanwhile, hanging on the line waiting to be put thro to the dept that deals with cancellation of contract I get repeat after repeat of an advert telling me to ask about their new broadband deals!!!
I am looking at Pipex and Plusnet. I dont really like aol, I cant take part in the 0870 site because aol block it. They do other annoying things too so, as another poster has already pointed out, this could just be the kickstart I need to do something about it.

EllieTheir - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -
I've just had my notification today. I'm not impressed with having to pay. I'm sure they are making enough profit from us customers already. This smacks of greed.

What number did you ring for MAC key. If they issue your MAC key do you have to leave them. I would like the speed upgrade for no extra cost. Might make me stay with them (but I don't want them to know that)!~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I got the same worded email and i just sent it in reply to the email notifying me of the changes. Looks like the top man doesnt bother to read his emails.
Must keep bombarding them though, they will have to note it and respond if enough customers complain.0 -
Poppy I think they must be upgrading the Gold service for everybody cos if you look it up online it now says it is a 1Mbps connection. No, you dont have to leave if you request MAC kry but you do have to listen to some old spiel about how they are offering you such a great deal with AolTalk, lol.

Ooh I am really angry, just been on to phone line with AOL and spoken with an Indian chap called Brian who just would not give me my MAC Code/key even though I said I wasn't cancelling yet. He tried to seel me AOL's new phone system, wouldn't have any of it, and I was calm and pleasant then he told me I couldn't cancell as I'd had a contract since 31/12/2004. Twice I told him I could as they had altered their terms & conditions, still wouldn't have it, told him I would ring back & speak to someone else. I am now going back to the other pages on this chat line & am going to email the top man @ AOL in America & the one in the UK.They call me Mr Pig!0
