    So a quick update :

It turns out that the standard PodPoint installer App is configured with a range of selectable whole home loads but with the maximum being 60 Amps.

Higher settings can be pushed to the PodPoint remotely by PodPoint technical support, but only when they have confirmation from the DNO that a higher current fuse has been fitted and the supply is up to it.

So I need to wait now for the DNO visit at the end of this month to hopefully "upgrade" the existing 100 Amp fuse to 80 Amps and sort out the mystery of the disappearing cable from the main fuse cutout which I believe has been wrongly identified as a looped supply.

I can't modify the charging rate for the battery storage as this is controlled by Tesla's built in logic and the AGA needs the full 7 hours off-peak to fully reheat.

As you have a Tesla Gateway, then the Gateway can limit site import to 60A. This will throttle back PW3 charging to stay within the 60A site limit. I am not sure how older PW2 systems manage this.

You can see the configured site limits in the Tesla App under home info as Import Limit and Export Limit. Your Import Limit has likely been set to None, meaning no limit applied, but it's an easy change for your installer to make and can be done remotely. If it doesn't work as you expect, you can ask them to remove it again.

    Thanks @NedS

I'm hoping the DNO will just sort out the main fuse and confirm that the house can operate on an 80 Amp total import load.

But if not, I'll look at getting the Gateway site import load setting.
I may even be able to change that myself if it is a setting in the Tesla One installer App as I have access to that.

Correct, it's set in the Telsa One installer App, so you can make that change yourself if you have access.

    So a quick update :

Northern Powergrid (DNO) came out today to survey the installation.

The engineer didn't open up the cut out but concluded that the thinner black wire leaving the cutout was almost certainly an earth. He agreed it was highly unlikely to be a looped supply feed given the fact that there are no properties or outbuildings anywhere near us.

He has said that the cutout needs updating and when they do this they will "upgrade" the existing 100 Amp fuse to 80 Amps.

So I'm now waiting for an appointment date for them to do the work.
Once the work is done and I have proof from the DNO that an 80 Amp fuse has been fitted, PodPoint will then remotely set the charger to an 80 Amp whole house limit.
