Sky Broadband new customer
Hi, I'm trying to take up the Sky offer for broadband, I spoke to a Sky representative this morning and they said that the deal was still ongoing but I would have to signup through the third party. tried doing this online but once I input my email address and get diverted to Sky the price is different or it comes back with technical issue. Any Sky representatives on here that can advise? Offer runs out on13th August. Thanks

I’d try contacting Sky again and explain that the price changes when you’re redirected from the third party. If they’ve confirmed the offer is still valid, they should hopefully be able to honour it or advise how to complete the signup before the 13th. Might also be worth taking screenshots of the advertised price and the error message.

What offer are you trying to redeem?
I recently signed up to a sky deal (£120 giftcard + switching credit) through moneysupermarket and had no issues.
In my case, they are right - you have sign up through the third party website for it to track your purchase, particularly as the reward (a giftcard in this case) is not offered or provided by Sky.
It would be easier to help if you could give some details about what offer/prices you were trying to receive and where the offer originates?

Yes its the same offer as you have got. Thanks

Again - it would be easier to help if you could give some details about what offer/prices you were trying to receive and where the offer originates? Moneysupermarket too?
Mine was £29 a month for gigafest, if I go direct to their website it also shows £29 a month for gigafest, so no disparity.
You mention that the price is different between the two sites - hard to replicate or understand why when you don't tell us the price or package.

On Moneysavingsupermarket
when I add email to next screen
Goes to Sky and price is more
Thanks for your reply

I see - out of curiosity, what device and browser are you using to do this purchase?
Have you tested with a different device?
The reason I ask is that these offers usually store tracking data in a cookie, and prompt sky to display the offer prices. I suspect you may have cookies disabled so the tracking data isn't being stored, which could explain why Sky displays their default prices. This might also explain the technical difficulties you mention.
As I said earlier, I signed up with the same offer - and got the reduced price no problem.
Easy way to test this would just be to test the purchase through moneysupermarket on a different device.
Not only is it important it tracks to get the correct price, more importantly, it is also how the giftcard eligibility is automatically confirmed (though you might be able to argue the toss with the order number after the fact, I wouldn't want to be in that position).

Yes tried on different devices. Browser Edge, Google and Safari So annoying! Thanks

Different device?

Are you genuinely a ‘new’ customer ? , or have you had service from Sky ( and or possibly Now ) in the past ? , if so perhaps they recognise your email address from a previous period of service which disqualifies you from the offer , but doesn’t disqualify you from rejoining on less preferential terms hence putting you through to Sky directly.
Contacting Sky will likely be pointless, you coukd ask MSE if you have never been a customer of Sky /Now in the past why you can’t access the deal they are offering

When I signed up through Quidco there was no issue. Got my cashback confirmed plus the virtual Mastercard reward from Sky.
