Quite a lot of cars have different front and rear tires, so that is not a certainty.

There's a million reasons someone might take a photo of their car, and with the resolution on modern camera phones it wouldn't be too difficult to show they were the same tyres.

i have a toyota estima aeras. On the sticker Toyota advises 205 65 16R 95H , i have the rear tyres thi size.

I have inflated my tyres every 2-3 months. The picture taken a week after fitting was a scenic picture that included the car and the wall of tyre was visible as the wrong tyre model.

What does the Halfords receipt show the tyre sizes and brand you bought for the car that were fitted?

The receipt shows what was ordered originnaly was fitted. 205 65 R16 van tyre. they do not have any record of fitting the wrong tyre, After showing him the picture he explains that the tyre they fitted ie 205 60 R16 is compatible on halfords system, the information they get from the dvla. now because it is an import the dvla is totally off on all 4 tyre options.

in the meantime they changed the tyres again yesterday but after checking they fitted a 215 65 R16 tyre of the same make. I told him but as he was overtime he told me to get in touch with him next day. But I am thinking of raising a complaint with Halfords head office as he wants from me £94 as that would be the cost price for the new tyres. now I do not need to pay cost price for tyres. I would understand that he wants wear of a tyre. he claims that the budget tyres would only last 8000miles. I am not sure about this. secondly I have spent hours going to branch, on the phone making research etc. I think they should give me a monetary compensation.

You've now said there are 4 tyre options so it is getting even more confusing.

Have you found a group online that has definitive information for tyre choice on that vehicle?

Are all 4 tyres supposed to be the same size and what are on the back?

What size tyres have YOU asked to fitted to the front and why, again, didn't you ask them what they intended to fit yesterday?

Tyre pressures should be checked at least monthly, not as you have done.

Is it a van used for business? If so, that may change your legal rights and how to enforce them if you need to exercise them.

As you may know it's a MPV so could be used as a taxi or a vehicle for business.

Maybe the OP could put up that photo they took 1 week after the wrong types were fitted
