YES I AGREE, you really should do so.

Is there a need to read between the lines in the responses received from the firms of Solicitors?
"We have full case loads" might be true or might be code for "we think this case is unwinnable, so we don't want it" or "this case is going to be a lot of work and prospects of winning are low so we don't want it" or "this case is going to cost considerably more in legal fees than the prospective Client can pay, so we don't want it" or "even working out what this case will involve is going to take a lot of effort which we can't recover fees for, so we don't want it"
I suspect that "very sorry, we have a full case load at present" is a far more amenable response for any firm of Solicitors than any of the alternatives. Plus "too busy" shuts the conversation down whereas any of the alternative responses might start a discussion.
The OP seems to have ignored the comments about the potential order of magnitude of taking on such a legal case.
The OP is unable to share details of the issues in the forum, so no-one can suggest alternative routes to proceed. Such alternative routes that have been mentioned seem to be overlooked or simply dismissed. I understand the OP's desire not to share details but I suspect any other forum would be similarly challenged in commenting as this forum is proving.

Explain what you mean by 'the ombudsman route didn't work for me'.
Do you actually have experience of referring your issue to the ombudsman?

If you're refusing to go to the local govt ombudsman about this it's no surprise that no solicitors are interested in taking this on.

The OP has deleted their account.
Nothing more to see here…

The OP may not have received the answers they wanted but, at least, by leaving the forum rather than deleting the thread contents, the record remains.

And just in case…here is the original post.
