Soapie - i've done that to my dyson today too. I know it's happened before and DH mended it but he's away till tomorrow so I can't tell you how until he gets back. It's a really annoying fault that happens every so often. So it can be mended but can't tell you how right now....not very helpful sorry! xx

One dropped at cricket, one in bed, one about to be escorted up. I feel an early glass of wine coming on.

I'm joining you - its been a long busy day.

Quick break before sorting dinner, and may make a pie with leftover gammon (maybe with some of the turkey in the freezer?) for tomorrow. Then back to my list - will update later with, hopefully, some more crossed off!

I've just given one load of washing ten minutes in the dryer so I don't have to iron it and put another load on. DS in bed with lights off. Going up to DD at 8 to say goodnight and put some dry clothes in her room.

Wine? Oh ok then, and there was me going to have an alcohol free night. I don't want you two to drink along though!!!

*growl growl growl growl snarl growl snap snap snap*

I am NEVER havig children.. they are nasty things.. yakky!!

I have one screaming she wants to walk to bed when she is alreayd up there, she wants a bocboc that she hasn't had for over a year and she wants someting else unintelligible. Another one whinging because I am miffed because I asked her to make a cuppa an hour ago and STILL haven't got it.. I'll drink it really fast and make her make me another 2 immediately after the frist one.. I LOVE doing that. I have another screaming because he has lost his new timetable and his pen.. !!!!!! have they changed the timetable for after 1 term.. he was still getting used to the first one!!! gggrrrrrr...... Not mentioning the one singing the one reading.. loudly! and the other one screeching because the timetable/pen one is screaming at him.. I am going up there with my shoe in a minute.. that usually shuts them up in seconds.. just see if hubby stomping up there works!

All the lunch boxes are located.. and hubby will be most pee'd off when I ask him to go buy some crisps and fruit for them.. and I don't care!.. I've also found a box of chocolate fingers I intend eating in a minute!

I have to remove my nail polish as well, I'll do that while eating the choc fingers and watching some trash!!

Back when I have stopped ranting because I've probably scared you all now! :D

Ooooh LJD, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE put the 'ask DH how to fix the non-upright Dyson question' on your list of things to do tomorrow and report back to me !!!? I know the thing must be about 6 years old, but it's been working absolutely fine up until now. DS has had a look at it (but he's not THAT mechanical!), I've had a look at it (and cursed it big time under my breath). I was contemplating having to branch out into the sales and buy a new one. But, if there's a way of fixing it, I'd love to know - and it would make my DiL feel an awful lot less guilty about having broken it (which is why I think she's out tonight!)

Havingbeen a serial lurker on here, I'm joining up! My 7 month old dd is now sleeping for at least 20 mins twice a day which gives me a bit more of a 'routine' which makes it all much easier!

    So here goes...:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
[STRIKE]Clean floors in these rooms [/STRIKE]

    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clear and clean kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean cupboard door fronts[/STRIKE] Done last week for friends coming over... hope this is a 'less than once a week' job!!

[STRIKE]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/STRIKE] Got brand new fridge in the sales on Friday so fridge / freezer all clean, organised (ish) and in date!!!
[STRIKE]Wipe dining table, polish if required [/STRIKE](clean table cloth if necessary) All table cloths washed and dried today following Christmas / NY etc... must find somewhere to keep them...
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
    Clean fronts of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
    Extra Mission:
    Choose one or more of:
    • [STRIKE]Clean inside of fridge[/STRIKE] See above!
    • Clean a window or 2 in these rooms
    • Clean OVEN yes I know you all hate that one wonder how many choose it
    • Clean tops of kitchen cupboards and high places (if safe to do so-if you're pregnant delegate the job to someone else!!!)
    • [STRIKE]Check the fridge contents, anything that has gone fuzzy? Anything you can use in this weeks meal plan? Anything leaking that needs wiping?
      [/STRIKE] See above!
Woo hoo! Now going to do my extra jobs and then a glass of wine for me too :T

Wish me luck for tomorrow's jobs!

Evening, I've been desperately trying to get through todays posts before I make a start but phonecalls and shopping melting have hampered both Flying and reading. So.. I'm going to do a half hour-ish in the kitchen now and come back and finish catching up!
Just quickly though, thanks again for all the congrats on my new found auntydom - I feel really special!
Back in an hour phonecalls willing.

That made me laugh! Consider it on the list. Ours is an animal (as in the model not me calling it names) but i'm sure they're all similar. He sometimes goes on MSN when he finishes work so i'll keep a look out for him!

Both children in bed though DD won't sleep for hours. Pigpen - how do you cope!!!

DSs birthday on Wednesday and his main present only cost £11! He wanted a cd player and i've got him one. Does that make me mean? He has got other bits too but I don't really want to go out and spend more just because I usually do xx
