I got tough!!
I figured if it hasn't been used/worn/looked at/played with for 6 months noone needs it.. unless it is something like a winter coat and it is summer! I keep only the very best stuff for 'handmedowns' the stained/messy stuff goes to nursery as spares.. they get it back if it is tatty! the marginally better stuff goes to the private nursery my sister works at.. and the little stuff.. pre-nursery, the decent stuff goes to charity shop and the good stuff goes on ebay... this funds my next lot of purchases. I have become very astute in my buying now.. if I buy Boden (sales of course!) I can get it through 3 children and resell it as 'vintage boden' and get often more back than I paid for it originally..
I'm quite fortunate that the children are close together so as one grows out of it another grows into it and the longest I store stuff usually is a year.
I have before stuck a binbag of stuff which hadn't ebay'd and was to good to charity shop in the local paper for £10 a binbag and that went too..
I do one drawer/cupboard at a time.. starting at the oldest that way whatever we are keeping I can make room for when I do the next one down. I usually do the boys first as there are only 3 of them.. but I must do the girls first next time as they have so much stuff it is unreal!
Dinnertime methinks.. these are all playing up!!
Everyone is on a mission to find their stuff for school.. and judging by the pong floofing from DD2's lunch box there is something pretty rancid in there from last term... *barf*
Dinner..
Slice and freeze bread bombs.. only 24 to do!

Back from a quite hard day at the office - things not working, office freezing cold because the heating had been off for a couple of weeks. People popping in all the time to see how everyone's holidays went. Plus the shock of actually going there for the first time in three weeks anyway
So it was a bit of a bitty day and no much time to pop in here to say hello. The dog thoroughly enjoyed it though - seeing all her mates she's not seen for a couple of weeks. She was positively whimpering with excitement as we drove through the gate and literally dragged me across the car park in her excitement to get into the office.
I'm now off to fly through my list of things. This is a new regime for me so we'll see how I get on.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Mikki2D - you take it easy if you're recovering from an op and that's an order. I'm taking it easy because...erm...I want to?!?! Ok, i'm going to get up again and do some more in a minute!
If I can impart one word of wisdom to my fellow flyers (well several actually) it would be: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIXONS ONLINE - THEY ARE TOTAL CARP! Ok, feel better for that thankyou. I had a lovely email from them today saying that yes, they're in the wrong, yes, the product they sold was defective, yes, I am entitled to a partial refund. Just phone this number they said! I phoned the ***£*£*£*$*£ number and guess what....it's the wrong one, again.
To be honest, I think i've chilled a bit of late as i'm actually finding it all rather amusing. I will get some money back at the end and will bug them soooooooooo much in the meantime.
Back to flying...I have been a good girl. Kitchen and dining room fab! I didn't have time to do the windows so will do that in the morning. Is it bedtime yet? xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Tea done, one child in bed with a horrid headache, one washing up and one being creative.
I have washed 3 pairs of football boots and 4 pairs of trainers from the weekend. All drying now.
I should be sorting a box but really not in the mood so will get little one to do his TQs whilst I mop the floor - he will then have to sit at the table and finish them as the floor will be wet.
Need to also swish and swipe and take DS1 to cricket training before putting DS3 to bed - oh and need to locate his bookbag, done the PE kit.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well, that's my hour of flying done so far.
DiL decided to be helpful today and started to vacuum the lounge. The Dyson can no longer stand upright. She's asked DS to have a look at it and is conspicuous in her absence this evening! I've had a fiddle but have lost heart. Haven't switched it on to see if it still works. Anyone else had this problem? When you go to stand it upright, it just doesn't want to go all the way (oooo er fnah fnah - behave!)
Well I've done the easy things on the list. And put away the dried clothes from this morning and put another washing machine load on.
Washing the kitchen floor was a crafty one - means I can sit here with a G&T whilst it driesbut I'll have to do go and do dinner shortly. It's duck stir fry tonight (the beansprouts are still growing but are not yet completely ready). I also need to get the venison steak browned and a stew prepared ready in the slow cooker so I just need to get it out of the fridge and put it on in the morning before I leave for work.
I'm feeling tired already! But, I'm focussing on the fact that if I do all this during the week, there'll be less to do at the weekend.
Bless you all, flyladies

Phew, kitchen finally done. I'm going to stick my dinner on now, then all I need to do is wash the floor, which I might even do just before bed.
Still need to do ironing but I'll wait til the non-tumbledryer-able clothes are dry, then do it all in one go.
