I was going to attempt to lower my budget for this month but then did some calculations for bulk purchases this month and what we're realistically spending and it still comes out to roughly £338 / month. Maybe I can try for

£340 for August 1 – 31

Let me try lowering it by £10 just to start for now.

I'd like to join again for August please, and will keep my budget to £150 for one reasonably active pensioner and her large hungry dog :) I hope to eat quite a bit from the freezer to free up some space, plus take full advantage of the five excellent Community Fridges in the area.

July went very wrong and I ended up well over budget, but I'm going to try again with my usual £350.00 for August.

Starting August early as the school holidays have started and along with it so has Grandchildren sitting. £26.00 spent on nothing much.just basics. Our wedding anniversary today 50 years)

.we don't usually buy each other anything for birthdays or anniversary's but today I was treated to a huge bouquet of flowers delivered to the door and a very romantic card. Also treated to the most amazing barbeque at son and dil so we are very well fed. I feel very blessed

Also Have had so much chicken left over from lunch the other day, so yesterday I made it into pie filling with some odd carrots, a couple of onions and some bacon and today I just about had time to make up the pastry for two and a half pies! Didn't have enough flour to make the top for the last one but have frozen as it is and will complete it when I have been shopping
