N180 deadline
hi, I submitted a defense for a claim made and received the n180 via email. I have just realised I missed the 7 day deadline to reply. Can I attempt to to do mediation still? Or do I see if they go time the claim?

The N180 from the claimant does not count
Check to see if a DQ has been issued by the court and if so then get yours sent to the court
Nobody with any sense wastes time "attempting mediation"

yes it looks like the DW has been sent to court by them

But has the CNBC in Northampton posted out the N180 DQ document to you, by post. ?
I doubt it, but they will do so , by post, not by email

is the DQ on the email from the parking company or a seperate form?

Ignore them, regardless of how they deliver their paperwork
You are waiting for the N180 DQ document from the CNBC in Northampton, not from anybody else ( by letter post, not by email. )

no, no form received by post just the acknowledgement from HMRC re the filing at court of the claim is only thing I’ve received

Then WAIT until your MCOL claim history states that the CNBC posted out YOUR N180 to YOUR address
Then follow the advice in the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements
Ignore the emails etc from the other side, just stick to the 8 steps
Name the private parking company claimant involved and any lawyers too

It has just arrived in the post

Good
Now put it in a drawer, then follow the 8 steps in the defence template, downloading the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website and fill it in, then email it, following the advice given
No scans, no pictures, no paperwork , no posting, just email
