Not sure exactly what I did yesterday other than (major achievement) I finished knitting the baby hoodie and took it round to the vicarage just in time, as vicar & wife are travelling to visit the new parents (their daughter and son-in-law) today. I also did aqua zumba and a drumming lesson. Oh, and visited the garden centre we'd been to recently as I'd noticed their greengrocery was good quality plus the clothes dept had a sale - came away with large bag of veg and a dress.
Today:
- 1 load through wm, hung out, brought in
- watered greenhouse, squash and pot flowers
- did a load of dead-heading
- cleaned/tidied kitchen including mopping floor
- ditto lounge (apart from mopping)
- Mr N checked spare room and bathroom, cleaning as required as his friend is staying overnight so as to leave early for the Eurotunnel for a holiday.
- addressed a few flagged emails
- between us we've organised delivery dates for the new kitchen unit (tomorrow) and the new shed (handily when BIL is coming to stay). Old kitchen unit will be easy to empty tomorrow and we've ordered a replicate so we know everything will fit. Mr N has been gradually emptying old shed. I got up early and dug up plants from the 'shed bed' so they don't get squished during the putting-up (I won't use the e word in case I get censored) of the new shed.
- fairly reluctantly cancelled Body Pump and dance as visiting friend had expressed an interest in meeting up with another couple of friends; decision was a pub meal so I not only ate out but also missed exercise so a double non-slinky although more sociable activity.

Wow, it's quiet on here today. Hope that like me you all had a nice lie in and an entertaining day.
Only flying here has been dailies, dog walk and two wash loads. Spent most of day with friends.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Glad to hear that you had what sounds like a good day, Jazee. No lie in or entertainment here. I got up early and went to the allotment not so early for one reason or another. Cleaned the bathroom, ran one load through the wm, then it was back to curtain making for the rest of the afternoon. It doesn’t sound very much…

Evening all. Don't remember posting yesterday but I cleaned the bathroom/toilet fully. I think I may have vacuumed through downstairs too but that could have been the day before….
Today I did a washload including the bath towels. All dry. It's clouded up a lot here and is breezy but not cold, just not as hot. I've just watered the pots and done a bit of dead heading and sweeping up. We had quite a decent walk this morning. I can't remember what else I've done apart from three meals and associated washing up/putting away.
Tomorrow is another day. We have to have early roast dinner because I'm looking after DGD4 from 1pm for the afternoon.
Hope everyone's OK x

Evening all.
My day began at 5.30. I woke up and turned over, and Rosie immediately thought that it must be time for her to go out in the garden, so she kept nudging me until I surrendered. Once downstairs, I made myself a cuppa which I took back to bed so that I could carry on watching the old WDYTYA re-runs for a while. Got up at about 6.30, finished all the filing, then dusted the study-bedroom and my own bedroom, found two jigsaws to give away, and emptied the shredder bin in the study which was full of the old (pre-2020) bank paperwork that I had dealt with yesterday. I had also got a little bit ahead of myself yesterday by stripping my bedclothes and remaking my bed with fresh.
After breakfast I hoovered every room upstairs, all the way down the stairs and round the kitchen floor before the stick thingy lost charge. I dusted the LR, DR and kitchen, and DH hoovered downstairs sometime later when the stick thingy was back to full power. In between, I managed to do WMx2: towels and bath mats. I think DH has also cleaned his own bedroom, which is a first this month.
Much to Rosie's disgust, I left the house at 11.30 without her, to meet my church friend S at the station and catch the train to Cathedral City. Unfortunately I also forgot my walking stick, so on arrival in CC I struggled quite a bit doing the half-mile from the station to the Old Bishops' Palace (the bishops of all ages now have a much more modern, 4-storey, Georgian residence conveniently located next to the cathedral) - or, to be more precise, to the pub opposite where S and I stopped off for a pleasant lunch. Then on to the Old Palace garden for a get-together of representatives from parishes that are working through the EcoChurch awards scheme.
After tea and cakes on the lawn, we hurried back to the railway station, where I just managed to climb the stairs up to the platform, and we caught the earlier train home by the skin of our teeth. It was actually drizzling as we walked to the car - just enough to wash the dust off the windscreen - but stopped almost immediately. No sign of any proper rain. I dropped S off near her house at the top of the hill and carried on to do our weekly shop at MrAl. Back home by 7pm. After a warm welcome from Rosie, and leftovers and salad for supper for me and DH, I finally sat down with DH to watch a bit of silliness on Beeb One, followed by the first episode of The Traitors Canada on iPlayer - rather too much of the "Language, Timothy!" at times, but although the contestants are a competitively vicious lot and full of their own importance, the enigmatic host (Karine Vanasse - she's nowhere near as cuddly as Claudia!) has a few tricks up her sleeve to rein them in.
It's been a productive couple of days. Now the early start has caught up with me, so I'm off to bed. Will see you all on the new thread, if not before xxx

I have had a very lazy day mostly looking at the sky in the hope of rain…well it has rained, my white rabbit was wet, the hutch was wet but it's been so warm the paving has dried…pathetic attempt at rain. Will have done the garden no good at all.
I have dried washing.

Morning all xx
I think it may have rained a little overnight. Things look vaguely damp in places this morning. I remember when it used to rain. Sigh.
I'm up, taken my new meds, completed the nyt puzzles, turned over the calendars, taken my old meds and I'm savouring my first brew.
Saturdailies and Sundailies to be completed today as I had a readabook and visit Pops day yesterday.

we are back from a few days away and I've prioritised basic tidying and getting us ahead for next week.
we've checked our diaries and have some idea of where we are next week and what we will be eating and therefore what shopping we will need.DH needs to put away his travel bag and toiletries - I've mentioned it to him once, twice, thrice - still waiting.
I've washed and dried the bedlinen and will put it straight back on the bed. I love fresh, line dried bedding.
