Evening all. DD and I had a very pleasant get-together yesterday evening at a Middle Eastern restaurant. It was a good meal all round, but the kibbeh makliya and the stuffed vine leaves were particularly delicious.
- Had a bad night with weird dreams: I had to wake myself up at 2.30am with a cuppa and then spend an hour and a half watching old WDYTYA programmes before I could get back to sleep
- DH got breakfast for us at 10.00 - considerably later than I should have liked
- Machine sewed one side of a cushion cover made of non-woven fabric which L the dog walker had mistaken for packaging, so she had cut off a 2-inch strip in order to remove the contents which turned out to be only foam stuffing
- L took Rosie out for a "gentle walk" - she has recovered from her lameness and is much happier today, TG
- Dealt with more admin before prepping a late lunch (DH finally got up at 1.30pm)
- Made a batch each of Twinks and scones to boost gardener J's productivity - he did a good job of tidying up the front garden, so the baking must have been ok. I have set some Twinks aside for L next time she takes Rosie out, and have put all the remaining scones in the freezer
- Slept for about an hour on the sofa
- Cooked tea
- Went to church council meeting, which actually finished just ahead of the 9.00pm deadline
- I need to do a bit more filing before going to bed, if I can keep awake long enough to do so.

I have done some gardening, taking advantage of the cooler cloudy weather to tidy up a patch and remove some weeds. Daisy the rabbit disappeared into a garden at the back but she did come back; whereupon I attempted to block future escapes, but I think more will need to be done. A plan is forming.
Other plans, re minor problems at the vol. job, are also taking shape.
Bins and shredding out.
Sweet dreams
ETA its an accident not a spolier. clicked something and can't remove it - just a normal post

Washing on line, DW half-emptied - mugs on top rack tipped so that the bottom dries properly and I have ironed the few bits and bedding that were waiting to be dealt with.
My appeal for a delay repay on my train journey to Kent has been approved - initially they rejected it but I appealed on the grounds that the tickets were marked 'specified trains only (or wording to that effect) so that was worth doing.

Hello all. Hope you're all ok. No flying done except two wash loads yesterday as I was out with friends all day.
That means this morning I have caught up with the dishes that DH created, walked Poppet, watered gardens, done dailies, caught up with admin, did some rare ironing and a little sewing repair job.
Completed wordle in four, all four lines on connections and strands with no hints.
Will potter now before going out for belated birthday tea with DH.
Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Afternoon all,
I had a day out with a friend yesterday but by some miracle - and unknowingly it has to be said - I actually achieved yesterday’s list. In bits and pieces, but the bedroom and landing got done, as did the ironing pile. Today I have tackled admin, including the dreaded pension, which has proved way easier to sort than DH’s was. I whizzed around the ensuite as well so that is today’s list attempted. I am currently waiting for Mr M to deliver, having a break from tackling curtain making. Each seam is 2.5m for the French doors, so one seam then a short break is my limit. Allotment bits watered this morning, dinner is a veggie stew in the sc (not particularly summery but I had all the veg for it), dw is running, sink has been shined.

Bare minimum done here. S/S the kitchen, DW and WM both used. Quick tidy room my bedroom and the bathroom cleaned which was good as when DD1 and kids came for dinner she decided to bathroom them here and put them in their pj's for easy bedtime when they got home.
Was meant to have one of my groups yesterday but DD2 and I ended up in the police station as halfway through dinner on Tuesday I received strange text messages claiming to be from my not very nice ex husband. I wanted to report them just in case.
Today I went with my mum to visit my dad who was quite chirpy today and chatty. We found out that yesterday he was in the communal living room joining in the sing song and dancing!!
My friend who works there gave me the FB page details so I could ask to join so we can see the pictures!
DD1 and kids are due round soon. After they've gone I'll see what I can get done.
