It's usually only if the companies are part of the same parent group. Try wikipedia for links. MBNA aren't linked to Capital One.

Well clearly they don't otherwise the offending posts would be removed. So shhhhhhhh

Even if they don't, why cant you? Why do you have to let us know every time? No one cares.

Maybe you should take your own advice and shhhhhhhhh.

I delete them if the spam post is removed. It's notification for the spammers.

Clearly it irritates you so I'll certainly continue. Perhaps I should now roll around on the floor laughing at my own joke

It wasn't a joke it was a statement. The smiley face was to try and make it lighthearted which clearly you didnt understand, which is understandable for anyone sad enough to appoint themselves as the spam police.

It doesn't irritate me at all, I just don't see the point.

    :shhh:

I've already explained the point and I'm not alone in using the :spam: smiley (hence why there is one). I happen to think it helps keep the forum clean and puts off spammers if they see their spam highlighted as such so will continue to do it.

Sorry that you think otherwise. I always report the post as spam at the same time, and like I said, if the post gets removed I'll generally delete my ":spam: reported" post if I see it.

Incidentally, this :) is a lighthearted smiley. This :rotfl: is roll on the floor laughing and barbed statements like "like everyone else manages to do" aren't really lighthearted either.

Not tried Lloyds but just been accepted for 20 months 0% with Nationwide at 1.5%. Closed my old 0% BT Nationwide last Feb and applied 1 year and 1 day later for the same new customer deal again
