I,ve been offered 0% for 6 months by RBS twice in last two months, card is clear but my Virgin 0% deal ends March (and prob a doubled variable rate).Do RBS keep improving their offer if you dont take up the last one?
Also got clear HSBC and Nationwide cards, any of these likely to offer about 9 months 0% or 6% LOB deals ?I have a deep burning indifference0 -

Is there a BT fee to pay? This lender normally charges 3%This card is clear, but my Virgin 0% deal ends March.
You stand to lose almost 3 months at 0% if you take up this offer so, if there's a fee attached, it's not worth having IMO.Do RBS keep improving their offer if you don't take up the last one?
There's no evidence that this happens. Also got clear HSBC and Nationwide cards. Are these likely to offer about 9 months 0% or 6% LOB deals?
As noted above (please see #1394), HSBC uses it's best promotions to draw in new customers. Ditto, Nationwide.
Of the cards you mention, Virgin has by far the best existing-customer offers, IME.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Yes there is a 3% fee,not taking up offer at moment but might if it,s repeated in Febuary, might phone HSBC and ask to close in the hope of an offer (keeping Nationwide for hols)
Looking at BOS 15month offer and also the Post office c/card as well, another option, need to shift from Virgin in case they double the rate, then might be able to get decent deal from them in future.cheersI have a deep burning indifference0 -

Sounds like a plan

What will happen if I will tell the credit card company that I want them to stop imposing interest on the balance? My friend lost her job recently and confided this to me. I advised her to just pay the minimum. But I know the balance will increase every now and then and there's no way my friend can fully pay her card.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I would avoid this route and concentrate on finding another job. Asking her credit card company to freeze the interest would mean her credit rating would take a hammering and that could affect her finances long after she was back in full-time employment. While she's meeting the minimum payments, her credit rating remains unaffected.
This is not a best balance transfer issue.and you'll get replies more quickly if you post again on the main credit card board.

I recently got an Egg card and BT'd three amounts £920 to my Virgin Card,£900 to my Cap One card and £300 to my Abbey overdraft . Today I saw another payment on my Cap One statement that I didn't recognise ...It was for £390 and put my account in Credit .I checked my Egg Card in case I had inadvertently made another payment but I hadn't. It hasn't come from my bank account either .
I then had the pleasure of phoning Cap One and got nowhere .The guy I spoke to couldn't tell me where the payment came from and when I asked him to give me a Nottingham Tel number he gave me a number which turned out to be a fax number .A second call got me a guy who said there were no Nottingham numbers but I know there are so I have sent them a secure message asking them to phone me but I suspect any call will come from abroad .
has anyone ever had experience of payments IN to their account that don't belong there ..Is that possible?0 -

No experience personally, but it's been reported from time to time by forum users.
If you're positive it's not your error, I wouldn't worry. The money was probably destined for a C1 card with a similar account number to yours. If so, the transaction will disappear again before long.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
