"I keep thinking if i wait more then they might slap more costs on."
How does that matter?! You'll never pay more than the fuel (plus small claims fees if they take it to court and win) and you already know retailers cannot inflate losses with admin fees.

I received another letter on 19 August. I didn't read it properly. It says failure to pay within 7 days the client may consider taking further action resulting in legal proceedings etc.
Im just ignoring them. The cheque i sent hasn't been cashed. Will let you know when they contact agsin

Why not? It was quite short! You really must stay on top of this stuff, at least one step ahead.

Unkomaas, i had sent the cheque for the unpaid fuel and unless the accept that or mediate there's no point in these letters. What do you think/advise?

Has the cheque been cashed?

Unkomaas, i have just checked and the cheque has been cashed. I had checked but think l had missed it. So i sent it off on 2nd Aug and it's been cashed on 10th Aug. However after 10th August I have still received letters from QDR.
Could it be they have cashed this and still thinking of pursuing further costs.
See they haven't even acknowledged payment received nor have they taken me off the blacklist. So every time l go into the petrol pump the cashiers are ogling at me as there is still a marker on my car reg.
Should i contact qdr and say that l have noticed it's been cashed and could they o now take the marker off my car so l csn use the petrol pump. Or should l wait for then to contact me.

Your kind of case is not one we really deal with much (maybe half a dozen times in the 13.5 years I’ve been here), we deal with private parking charges. So I’m no expert on unpaid fuel, but, FWIW, as you’ve now paid the fuel cost, I’d be sending a ‘cease and desist’ letter (look for examples on Google/AI) to QDR, showing evidence that the fuel has been paid for, and to tell them to stick their snotty letters up where the sun don’t shine!

I agree.
You have paid the debt and they accepted it. The fake added costs are unrecoverable because they are plucked out of thin air and are not on any prominent sign.
