Selling thread on MSE

Could we have a selling thread on MSE like on HKUD?
I am a frequent user of the Grabbit forum and it appears that often people buy more of a bargain to sell on. However, could we not miss out the e-bay trick and offer to sell on here instead - on HKUD people are wise to the cost and what has been a grabbit/freebie item so goods would not be going for silly money. I for one would rather trust an MSE user thn e-bay!
Thanks,please do consider.

Sorry bbford, I don't think this is a good idea.
For a start, buying more than you need isn't moneysaving.
Then there's the problem of buying from anonymous people on an internet forum. What would happen if something went wrong, e.g. goods not turning up or cheques bouncing etc. Even if it was less than 1 in 100 trades that went wrong, I think it would undermine people's confidence in the rest of the site.

If you read the post by Browntoa again, you'll see that a swapshop isn't allowed either;) :

Yes i realise these things aren't allowed, that is why i have never done it.
Just wondered due to the number of requests for things whether it was worth reconsidering.
Was just a thought.....How much ?????????!!!0 -

This is (I am sure) an unworkable idea for a forum such as this... how would it be managed/policed? There are plenty of other sites around geared up specifically for this sort of thing... this is predominantly a moneysaving site NOT a money making site... just my opinion... can't see it happening but then "vote for me threads" managed it!!0
