Bell type bollard

What difference would a pole have made?
Or are you admitting that if there had been a pole there you would have been able to swing out further to avoid mounting the pavement?

The bollard did you a favour…… ID Buzz ;)

If it had been an animal standing on the pavement you would have ran it over.
I don’t think you can make claims for damage due to careless driving. Just be happy it was a bit of street furniture and not something with a pulse.

Ah, now I know what a Bow bell is from the nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons.
"I do not know,
Says the great bell at Bow."-1 -
The bollards there are more conventional although the Great Bell at Bow lives in that tower.

I say, Ding Dong.
I don't know what relevance the ID Buzz milk float makes, but the o.p. cut the corner and partially drove over the footpath.

Except that actually refers to St Mary le Bow, on Cheapside in the City, not the bit of Tower Hamlets, three miles east. It's renowned for its tenor bell…

Didn't check the link?

The OP was driving over the pavement in Tower Hamlets, though.
Gurgle Maps says 4 miles, 25 minutes. On a Sunday…
Ah, London.0 -
Never mind……
