Good morning all,
More positive vibes from here to HB’s Beloved. DH got himself tested last year after much nagging from me and from a friend who had tested positive. What I can’t fathom out is the retest period, which doesn’t appear to be mentioned on the trusted websites.
Valli, it is so sad about Denby. I have some of my mum’s and love the shapes and colours. It’s overcast here this morning, which has fitted perfectly with DH’s plans to cut the front hedge now that any birds have flown. I haven’t told him that there is a chance of rain later as he would down tools now “just in case”. I am on delivery receipt duty, which suits me as I had an exhausting and very hot session at the allotment yesterday so appreciated the excuse not to go today. So far I have set wm x 1 to run and made the kitchen and utility sinks shine. I intend to clean the downstairs toilet, maybe s&s the ensuite, and even more of an outside chance, maybe even tackle some admin.

I don't know about how frequently chaps should be retested Fayolle. It's a slow grower if and when it happens so not that often would be my guess. I'd suggest asking your GP what they think would be appropriate. Belovéd had his first PSA test when he went for a routine blood test because he's on statins so it only cost the NHS the marginal cost of the second one.
We've tied the roses and the jasmine in on the wall at the bottom of the communal garden, I've dumped two buckets of enriched compost under the lemon tree and re-seeded part of the grassed area and popped a pop-up greenhouse over it to stop the birds nicking all the seed. I gave it a couple of gallons of water prior to re-seeding and I'll give it another gentle water tonight to keep it all humid enough to encourage germination.
We've also had a meeting with our new neighbour about the chimney stacks that we share as they're leaking like a sieve, despite the (expensive) repairs last year.
Belovéd has also done a bit of vacuuming.
We'll do more later but now we both need a bit of a rest.

That side of the garden (points) by the rabbit tun has been strimmed and raked; the 'lawn' has been mowed, with the edges strimmed and the path swept.
The new rhubarb crowns, which have new growth 😁 have been watered. Long chat with DD on the phone; started because her fuse box had tripped … then, much later, she mentioned her oven wasn't warming up - so I'm guessing the element has blown which caused the tripped fuse. She's very pleased; she hates the oven 😂

The teak bench I bought last year is, at long last, in the place where it belongs instead of sticking out like a sore thumb. There was some grumpiness this morning (understandable) but I think we're past that and have now made bench progress.
The WM is twirling and I've made decisions about some things that are going to the CS, some are being binned and some are being sorted into a more ordered state. The springtide of gibble that's flowing across my office floor is going to have to be dealt with three items at a time every time I enter the room because it's too daunting to be done in one go.
I need to get some paperwork on my desk sorted as well and in many ways that's a simpler task so that's what I'm dealing with first.

HB I am so glad your DH got tested and got the best outcome he could (apart from no problem obviously).
Not enough washing for a load today. Hot here like everywhere. Had a little walk this morning then DD1 and her family visited and SiL sorted something out on my computer. He did remark that I make him feel useful. I hope it wasn't a dig …
Took DD2's dog out for a very short walk this afternoon, keeping in the shade and on the grass. Only about 10 minutes but he'd had enough when we were walking back and stretched out on the kitchen floor when we got in. Did a few bits round there so I could keep the dog company for a bit longer and then back here for a cup of tea.
Not planning to do much else today! Hope everyone's OK x

Thanks for the good wishes for Belovéd. He's still coming to terms with the treatment plan, which he's finding more difficult than the actual diagnosis. I did not see that coming. He'll be fine but it's a bit of a struggle for him at the moment.
Some gibble has been sorted, decisions made about 20% of the tide of stuff. The rest can wait until another day.
Meal planning done for the week and he's sorted the fridge out.

I've been quiet the last couple of days as I decided, after being ill, to take some time to just reset, although I did do a stall at a summer fayre yesterday, the first time I have done it, but it went well. Other than that, I have gone for a couple of nice relaxing walks along the coast with the dog as it has been such a lovely weekend, although I now have a bit of sunburn; I had plenty of sleep and relaxed in front of the tv. Feeling refreshed, I will be back to work and flying tomorrow.
