I should have been going on a coach trip tomorrow but the company cancelled it so I am driving us all to Mercia Marina and we are booked on a boat trip.
Bins out.

Afternoon all, I phoned in sick to my placement today as I have been up all night with a sickness bug; therefore won't be doing much flying today either.
My list for today
Laundry x3 loadsSort out required paperworkSpend an hour on exam revisionSpend an hour on uni adminSort work stuff for tomorrow, as I hope to get back, as I'm starting to feel a little better.
I think that is enough for me to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.

Well we have had a lovely day - we we the only people booked on the boat so we could choose where to sit - we chose to sit at the pointy end. We saw waterfowl, cormorants, fish, damselflies including beautiful demoiselle flies - new to all of us, fed cygnets and goslings with proper bought food which floated, mooched around the shops, had lunch. As per usual I was thrilled to spot fish etc…
came home. Have been swimming and have locked and loaded DW and WM

Hope you're feeling better Minnie
Yesterday DD2 came over as planned but I spent so long organising and making her costume for the weekend, a well known children's film is out at the cinema this weekend (from Thursday if you want to know) and staff at the cinema are allowed to dress up. So she's going as one of the main female characters. To be honest she's normally the only one that ever really bothers.
After that we didn't really feel like junk sorting so she's coming back on Monday lol.
I did 2 loads of washing, the DW and made up overnight porridge oats for the week. Also S/S the bathroom and wiped round the kitchen.
This morning I have my craft group, then I have to rush back for my dreaded computer course. After that we'll see what I fancy doing.

Morning all xx
I'm up, stripped my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, set WM swishing, removed my dressing, examined my war wound, and I'm savouring my first brew.
Forecast is twot 🥵. Tis already 21° here apparently.
Sounds like a lovely day Valli.

Afternoon all,
It’s certainly too hot for Fayolles today, so I guess next week will be unbearable. I went to the allotment relatively early to tick some jobs off my list, and came home to the second shower of the day. Garlic harvest is done, frames built, seedlings watered. Yesterday, in between 2 sets of meeting up with friends - it’s like busses, that will be the social engagements done for months now - I did choose the back bedroom from the list and give it a good dust, tidy and vacuum. It is currently serving as our living room. The plasterer has just finished in the LR so that project is well under way. Bedroom “done” on Tuesday so I am patting myself on the back for unusually staying on track for a whole week.Valli, that day out sounds lovely.

Afternoon all. Both beds stripped and remade today and three loads of washing done (including clothes) and dried out on the line. Folded and put away too. Went out to local town for a walk by the river this morning and a coffee. Did some deadheading in the garden this afternoon which was a bit too hot but I could do most of it sitting down so didn't get too stiff. Watered and fed my pots this morning before we went out. We have more, different, family things to worry about now just as one thing is mostly sorted. It feels never ending. Where's my magic wand when I need it?
Hope everyone's OK.

Not much has been happening this week as regards Flying but today I cleared all the excess gibble out of the double letting room and vacuumed it. In order to do that I had to make space in the cupboard under the front steps which looks a lot better but I also had to pile a load of
crapuseful stuff in my office. It's like a spring tide flowing across the floor. There's a coffee table I need Belovéd's help to drag upstairs so I can stack all the stuff I want to keep on it in my office and dispose of the rest when I get round to sorting it all out. That bit can wait. Our Italian friends are arriving in about nine days time and the house needs to be shipshape by then and my office doesn't count. Which is why it's always a Room of Doom. Please could any of the women on this thread who have husbands, lovers and sons get their men's PSA levels checked. They're entitled to ask their GPs for it over 50, or over 45 if there's a history of prostate cancer in the family. Belovéd and I read Private Eye and MD mentioned that little factoid a few months ago, Belovéd had the test, was retested, has had a scan, and has now been told he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He needs another scan before he can start the hormone treatment, prior to radiotherapy.. The first scan revealed it has NOT spread, which is what I was worried about. He had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. The chances of a complete cure at this stage are 90%. My father's wasn't picked up until it had spread to the bone so I know this game and I do not want to play it again. I'm so grateful to him for getting himself checked just on the offchance because of his age (79). (The cancer specialist we saw on Wednesday said the majority of men he sees with it, it has already spread.)

Sending healing hugs to your Beloved HoneyBear - and a timely reminder. So easily and succesfully treated if caught early.
Been to Denby Pottery Village. So sad that one of my favourite places to visit will soon be closed.
Been to OutmovingCancer too.
It's cooled down now so I am pondering attacking the ironing before the heatwave…

Morning all. It's the weekend!
Sorry I haven't been posting but I have done some flying this week. Have kept on top of dailies, on Tuesday I did all the bathrooms list and yesterday I did shredding, cleaned my desk and hoovered through. The garden has also had attention but I must remember not to overdo things in the heat especially as I now have an appointment through for brain scan. Do you think they'll find it?
Anyway, busy day today. Dog walk before it gets too warm, decorating a cake for family get together tomorrow for Father's Day, then getting together with friends for music festival right into the evening.
Have a great weekend everyone.
