Love the 'statue' photograph!
Walked the dog, had a shower, reconciled a couple of bank statements, emailed someone on the Bay of E about whether they can gift wrap something, did some washing up, ran the dishwasher, planted the basil seeds, talked to Tom the gardener about the pear tree and the non-flowering violets, cleaned the bathroom and am now finishing some paperwork for the Foodbank that I didn't have time to do last Thursday because it was all in a bit of a muddle. I might add that Higgs is sleeping on my office chair so I'm doing this on my laptop sitting on the bed with the Wren snoring beside me and Twiggle asleep on my shins. It's quite uncomfortable.
What I haven't done is any Flying in the kitchen. Not likely to happen now, either. Such a shame.
Lost 900g last week. Hoping for 100g asap.

Ionafan - on not on the high street I found a chocolate gift that gave the exact number of days on earth for birthdays - might be fun for a special birthday. My recipient was pleased with it.
I've washed and dried the towels and a white wash is just finishing blowing on the line.
Some glass shining in the lounge, plus wardrobes, mirrors etc. the glass cleaner smells so nice that it makes me think I've done a major clean.
sorted through our stash of books and found a couple to take to the book swop at the leisure centre.
I took the car for its MOT and then renewed the road tax ready for July 1st.
now I'm watching the football!7 -
Evening. One washload done and dried outside by lunchtime. Round to look after DGD4 for an hour before school and then took her to school. Back home for an hour then out with DD1 for coffee and a little shopping while DH had her dog with him for an hour. They both love it and it's hard to get the dog to go home. Got lunch, got washing in. Then picked DGD4 up from school, got her dog and took them both to the park for a bit, back to her house where I stayed until her parents got home. I pegged her washing out this morning after the school run and got it back in dry this afternoon.
We're both very tired tonight and my arthritcky feet hurt. Glad you're on the mend Round and hope everyone else is OK x

Can't report a lot of flying today apart from the admin type as the house was made in good shape for BIL's arrival yesterday.
- made a chilli con carne before going to the gym
- did Body Pump
- watered greenhouse
- did copious amounts of research on car chargers, tariffs and GAP insurance. Slow but positive progress being made. Neighbour who is an electrician came round to discuss chargers.
- went to AT lesson, dropping Mr N and BIL at nature reserve on the way
- er….not much else really….did a bit of drumming; lots of chat with BIL. Zumba was cancelled as only myself and one other person had said they would go this evening.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.8 -
Morning all,
Like Round, I am hoping that I can start to call myself a Flylady again after yesterday’s efforts. My downfall will be from tomorrow when I take my eye off the lists as usual. Kitchen, utility and dining room given the level 1 and 2 treatment yesterday, plus all floors swept, HHI, and a couple of hours catching up at the allotment. The utility room fridge freezer gave us a false sense of security that it was going to get down to temperature but then gave up. We have resigned ourselves to replacing it, possibly with a long discussed small chest freezer as well, as I really don’t want the freezer part to have thoughts about going the same way before I have a plan.
The builders turned up to wreck the living room, and the plasterer has just arrived. Things are moving, hurrah.
Iona, when I was 18, all I wanted was direction. How about a small compass to either give direction, show him the world, or help him find his way home?6 -

Morning all.
I ended up with a migraine yesterday afternoon so was forced to rest awhile, but managed to cook and eat tea and then went out to work in the garden for an hour. I swept the back yard, decided that a couple of big plastic pots have to go because the snails can hide under the rims, planted out the tomatoes into their big pots and placed them in the mini-greenhouse frames, discovered that I had thrown away the old plastic greenhouse covers (I seem to remember that they had split as the plastic was perishing) so now have to decide whether or not it's worth ordering replacements (thinking probably not), watered all the pots on the decking which are bright with flowers, and generally left things tidier than they had been before I started. In the process of doing that, I got rid of the worst of my migraine - though it is still lurking this morning, so I shall have to be careful again today.
DH left a crateful of dirty washing in the utility for me to deal with and I also want to wash my own bedding. I'll strip my bed before I go down to get my second cuppa of the day and put the first load in while I'm there. But first I must tidy my desk and do some shredding……😫
Today's plan:
- laundry
- clear desk
- laminate ecoChurch notice for the church hall - not very eco, but as requested by the Churchwarden
- emails (long overdue)
- bathroom - a bit from each level - before the washing needs to be hung up in there
- walk Rosie
- early lunch (probably on my own, as DH is going to SW)
- put up ecoChurch notice in church
- funeral at 1.30
- shopping for DGS1's birthday - thank you for the extra suggestions, Blackcats and Fayolle: I'll see what the shops have to offer
- fortnightly videocall
- tea
- plant up pots for the front garden, if I have enough energy.
See you later - hope everyone has a good day xxx
