Afternoon all. One washload done and hokey-cokeyed but now on the airer. Shopping delivered and all sorted out and put away. Spanish chicken stew made and we had half for lunch and the other half in the fridge for tomorrow or the next day. I made dumplings to go with it today but we might have pasta next time.
Off to get DGD4 from school in 10 minutes. Obviously it's raining.
Hope everyone's OK. Glad you're doing OK Round.

Been to docs for my shingles jab then took the Aged P shopping to Mr M, home for a quick lunch then back out to take him up to the hospital for a biopsy. Waiting for a phone call to pick him up.
Flowers ordered for neice's 40th; I have phoned sis and updated her.

Wendy witch - how unprofessional of the letting agent. They might not approve of DD's choice but making personal comments is entirely unnecessary.
We are going out soon to a concert at one of Henry VIII's palaces so today's excuse is that I'm busy singing songs and making a picnic rather than official flying.
Dishwasher is loaded and doing its thing. Swimming stuff is being rinsed through in the WM.
Lounge windows cleaned.

I haven't done any work in the garden because we've had very heavy showers today - one of them from the north, which is very unusual here (the rain was thrashing against the landing window and I've never seen that in 13 years!); it brought hail as well as watering the garden more thoroughly than I could ever do. Instead I have been doing odd bits of research: financial and family history. And I've updated my diary with the date for my first laser eye treatment, 6 weeks hence.
DH kindly hoovered all through downstairs.
I made a huge pan of yummy curry for tea and the leftovers will do us for 2 more meals - already boxed up, labelled and in the fridge (I'll move them to the freezer tomorrow morning).
I'm going to empty a photo album before bedtime. And tomorrow I must dust the LR.

More rain today. J the gardener will get wet!
Since my last post I have emptied 3 more photo albums. These came as a set in a cardboard slip case whichI have kept, as I like to corral small things (such as CD-ROMs and FH notebooks) together: it makes the open study shelves look more organised 😉
I've put pork steaks, cannellini beans and veg, Italian style, in the SC for tonight's tea; S&S'd the kitchen; dusted the LR as promised; and FUPA DH's washing that was drying/airing in the bathroom. Filing next, I think.
Hope everyone is well xxx

Excellent progress Round. Well done.
I turned out a kitchen cupboard yesterday and washed it out, and then emptied and cleaned the drawer in the unit. It's the only free-standing unit in the kitchen, and when I shoved it back in place it wobbled. I'd broken the thing. * sigh * It's fixed now, but I am really tired of breaking things while I'm spring cleaning the kitchen.
Another shelf in a different cupboard got turned out and washed this morning, prior to me doing a stint at the Foodbank. Next time I go on holiday I'm going to ask that no-one touches my area of work while I'm away. It took me hours to figure out what had been tackled while I was away and there was a fair amount that needed sorting out.
Lidl shop done, good stuff bought. We'll be eating very well over the next 10 days or so.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6 -
