I hope all goes well with the doctor Jazee, and that you're being discharged Round.
Walked the dog, checked the forecast several times but I just can't guarantee I can get the superking duvet dry by this evening so although I'm itching to get all the laundry done today will not be the day. Stripped the duck so we can have cold duck with left over veggies this evening and duck fried rice on Thursday evening. One of the cats and Wren 'assisted' with all matters duck. Defrosting some smoked haddock for Cullen Skink tomorrow evening - Belovéd has planned our day which will be very busy so I will need my wits about me.
One section of the kitchen units cleaned. I'm not feeling it today, so I may very well leave the rest for A N Other day.
Currently planning a smooth six/seven mile hike for Friday. Ideally I'd like a circular one somewhere pretty but Belovéd wants the car for tennis in the afternoon so I'll get the bus out to the Park and Ride and do a 'there and back' to rack up the miles, or walk from the house out in that direction. I need to be walking four miles three times a week by the end of the month and it's not looking great so far because of the rain. I booked our accommodation for me to have a final stab at Hadrian's Wall in May 2027 because I want to get fit and do it in one hit. I'm not so worried about the fitness side of things; I'm more concerned about avoiding blisters.

Afternoon all. Hope you're home now Round and resting. Rain here earlier and a few brief showers since but mostly blustery and now some sun. Not enough washing for a load though. Dusted, polished and vacuumed downstairs and up the stairs and washed the kitchen floor. Cut the grass and edged it and swept up - in two parts because it started raining just as I finished the mowing and then after 10 minutes I was able to complete the job. We had a little walk round the block this afternoon. Window cleaner is due today, I'll bolt the back gate when he's been because it's rattling in the wind.
Hope everyone's OK x

I'm home. I've unpacked my bag, arranged an appointment with the GP surgery to have my clips removed on Friday, informed work that I have a fit note for two weeks and J is taking it into work tomorrow for me.
Sassy is home too.
Read a couple of magazines and added them to the recycling pile.
Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.

I hope all is well Chez Round tonight and every night.
Three tomato plants potted up in their final place for the summer and given a good feed and water. Parsley cut for tomorrow's cullen skink. Felt very, very mean as I had to trash the nasturtium plants to put the tomatoes in, and a bee came back, searching for them. Oops.

I undertook a wading in treacle type admin task this afternoon. I just know that there will be more work for me to do but for now the ball is in the expert's court. 2 cliches in one paragraph is pretty impressive.
washing dried and put away. A few items thrown away or PUPA'd.
Dad's shopping done, delivered to his house and put away. Had a lovely chat with his carer who was there at the same time as me. She was cooking dad his favourite lunch of ham, egg and chips so he was more cheerful than usual.
Then we decided to go out for a picnic at a local beauty spot and flying ceased for the day 😉

DW locked and loaded…funny how it takes 3 days to fill it. I must be saving ££££££
Evening meal was beef curry made with stuff from freezer; there's another portion for another day. Breakfast is prepped (overnight oats made with vanilla yoghurt on offer in Mr M - it's fat free yoghurt).
Complained to Mr L as a nectarine had a fur coat day after purchase.
Hope you get a good night's sleep Round

Yesterday I went to DD2's place as she was making her call to the letting agent to say she was advised to wait for the bailiffs. The woman she spoke to wanted to know who told her that and then called her a silly girl and put the phone down. She's also spoken to my mum to update her.
DD2 has also decided that she's going to do a debit relief order (that's what it was called when I had to do one). A friend of he's had to do it so is going to help her, hopefully.
I haven't done any major jobs but this is what I have done in no particular order-
Sorted out a few more dvds, decluttered about half the coffee table. I've given the sofas (leather) a wipe over. The throws and seat covers got washed last week but of course are recovered in cat hair.
I've decluttered most of the kitchen table, Wiped all the surfaces and appliances. I sorted through the "plastics" cupboard, checked that lids fit boxes and threw away the odds and tatty ones and then tidied the cupboard. I was quite pleased with myself.
I've washed DD2's curtains from the flat and they're currently on the airer. I also put the DW on over night. I've now got to get ready for my group, do a bit of shopping for fresh bits and pick my Dad's meds up.

Morning all. Glad you're home, round, and hope you have slept well xx
Yesterday I decluttered the pre-op for my laser eye treatment (left eye). Up at 6.30 in order to be ready for the minibus hospital transport pick-up scheduled for 7.45am (it actually arrived a couple of minutes early). Time to drive to hospital: about 1 hour 15 min, including a short detour to pick up 2 more patients and the frustrations of rush hour traffic (if we go to our favourite NT place, which is not far from the hospital, we can get there in 35 min). Time spent waiting to be seen by the medical staff: approx 30 min (9.30 appointment on time). Time spent being seen by 3 separate medical staff: approx 30 min in total. Time spent sitting in waiting area for transport home: approx 2½ hours. This time we had 5 patients in the minibus. The first two live quite close together, but the driver had input the addresses into his satnav in the wrong order so we covered a small part of the route twice, Then we nipped 10 miles down the motorway to avoid town centre traffic jams. The driver decided to drop me off before the other two patients who I'd been with all morning, as they both live nearer his home. I arrived home just before 2pm. That's an awful lot of time decluttered! I was really sorry for the other two patients who'd been taken all round the Black Country for what should have been just a 30min drive each way.
The annoying thing is that I shall have to use the minibus again at least twice, if not 3 times, more, as I have now been told that both eyes need laser treatment but they will only do one at a time. A phonecall to my opticians is on my list for today, as I have to have an official referral from him for the second eye.
In the evening DH and I went to a marvellous concert in Second City - the final of "The Piano." All the performers were brilliant, and each was worthy of Performance of the NIght, so it took ages for Mika and Alice Sara Ott to decide who should be awarded the bouquet, but on that my lips are sealed - no spoilers, please!
Right, today's plans:
- phonecall to optician
- 3 emails
- finance check (I received confirmation earlier that the pet insurance people have approved my claim for Rosie's recent treatment - excellent, speedy service)
- filing
- hoover through downstairs (maybe DH can be persuaded to do it?)
- back garden: from the borders, pull out forget-me-nots which have finished flowering, and sweep the yard
- front garden: empty 2 pots and fill with the remainder of the bedding plants
- front to back garden: fill large plastic pots with compost from the bags that we left in the front garden after our trip to the GC, and carry these through to the mini-greenhouses at the back; then plant out tomatoes.
See you later xxx

Morning all xx
There's no place like home. Even if it is dusty in places. It's my dust!
I woke up at 9.30 am after 12 hours in bed - but I was awake for some of that with a pain in my hip. Oh the irony! I guess I'd laid funny trying to protect my throat - if that makes sense. Hip is still niggling but swallowing is no longer ouchie. First brew went down a treat.
I've fluttered. I made my bed. And while the kettle boiled I put away the pots that were LTD on Sunday.
I've arranged a lift to the GP's surgery on Friday afternoon, so I can forget that for now.
Love to all.
