The Zero is fx free at any ATM within the Mastercard network - it doesn't need to be a Santander one.

I logged in to my Santander account and I'm eligible for one with a likely credit limit of £6100 which suits me fine.

I'm just going to wait 1 month to apply for one so I can incorporate next years holiday spends and likely pay for our 2028 holiday with the 3% cashback

Yes, however it almost certainly incurs a host bank commission fee from any non Santander ATM - fee free holes in the wall are an endangered species - and becoming fewer.

How will paying for a holiday earn 3%? The eligible spend is rather limited.

Surcharging is common in Spain with the local banks having a captive audience of sunburnt boozy Brits but isn't 'almost certain' nor a global norm in lots of places.

Lloyds ultra 1% for 12 months.

It seems to me that this is by far the best credit card to use in the UK if only for transactions when buying petrol. Does anyone know HOW Santander recognise a transaction when buying petrol though?
